I have a horrible feeling there will only be one professional sports team left in the town soon if things keep going as they are and it's the one that means nothing to me at all. Very disturbing to read through that, it would be a catastrophe if Northamptonshire were to be dissolved.

Agreed - very worrying and arguably worse for the county where it's difficult to see how they can ever run at a profit. Also interesting to see some parallels - loans for ground improvements that they perhaps can't pay back and insider stories of denials refuted elsewhere - the only thing they are missing is a Mr Big to blame it all on.

Maybe we are the same person.
Having followed some of your breathtaking comments on the ReDev they are a bit up and down - bit like tarts knickers. So the last comment is "down knickers" presumably the next eagerly awaited prophecy will be up "knickers". Maybe, just maybe you are on a windup!

I had to google all three of those, and none of them turned out to be anything like I was expecting. Must be my mind

Further report today on Cricinfo regarding possible Northants CCC ground move to Sixfields: "ESPNcricinfo understands the club produced a secret report which contains plans for a new ground near junction 15A of the M1 on land currently owned by the council... though its position on a flood plain might counteract such benefits." "Progress stalled when it proved difficult to obtain the substantial investment required, though hopes remain that partners - quite possibly from India - might be found for the project." Full article: http://www.espncricinfo.com/county-cricket-2015/content/story/906211.htmlCould it be that some of the initial quips about Indian investment for NTFC being linked to cricket in some way were not so far wide of the mark?!

Asked the author of the above Cricinfo article if there was any evidence linking potential NCCC move / investment with the NTFC situation / potential investors and got the following prompt reply:
"Sorry. You'll have to wait for next installment. Like the way you're thinking, though. I do have more to come, yes."

Exactly £220,000 higher than the last statement from November 2014, suggests an injection of cash for shares in the last few months....

Seeing the County play at Kent today it's a great shame we won't be able to keep some of these young players.
