If as reported on here they got £7 million from Chinese sale and there was £4 million ringfenced then why not spend a chunk on doing a fancy north or south with added facilities in the meantime. Still be plenty left plus profit. No leases issues at either end?

Let me answer that one mate, KT said that he doesn't see the need for anymore capacity and summing up what he implied, that we are a small club and didn't need a bigger stadium.
I think the video is still online somewhere from the last meeting with KT at Sixfields, now that was embarrassing.

I don't think any one is suggesting that KT is doing or planning to do anything "dodgy". But the lack of hard information from KT is worrying, as is the complete silence of the Council.  Fez on behalf of the Trust is absolutely right to comment the Trust is not in a position to make its views known until it receives from all concerned the facts and then considers its position.

I will say this - KT deliberately went public with his email/letter to the Council and the Council's failure after 9 months to deal with the outstanding issues.  No doubt, he was hoping that the supporters led by the Trust would start lobbying the Council to get of its backside, the same Trust that frankly KT appears not to have shown much time for since he took over the club in the sense of including its representatives in any decision making.  But, as I comment above, the Trust isn't going to do anything until the facts are known and this must be right.

There was a suggestion from Beds that the Council has not done what KT wants because it is not prepared to deliver land into the hands of people who may be looking for a personal profit from stadium redevelopment rather than all the redevelopment gain going to the club.  That must surely be the position of the Trust and supporters generally. If KT can demonstrate this is his intention we can all get on board but only when we know precisely what he plans.

Pretty well spot on there.

Did you read it?

I did and from my limited knowledge of these things, doesn't it provide a justification for KT to wait until he sees what land out the back of the stand he/we will have before committing to the front of house, pitch facing aspect?  The more space for commercial enterprise he/we get at the back will reduce the amount he/we will need to impact on the front?
The issue of not publicly displaying the planning options for the options is his call and probably a good one based on what happened when DC did the same and then decided to change it?
It leaves his/our options well and truly open.

I did and what I took from it was that whilst the use of adjoining land is certainly of benefit from a commercial perspective the development of existing parts of the stadium could equally be worthwhile over a longer period of return.
The rub is would you dare take on developing another part of Sixfields whilst that excuse of the East Stand stood as it is?

In a nutshell PNE's East Stand (Oh the irony) cost £9m they lease the commercial space in the stand for £500k per annum on a 25 year lease.
The brochure shows there are lots of business models that can support a new stand from scratch, you don't have to just rely on match day for the pay back.
There are a number of use cases to back this up.

You see, this is the other way of looking at it. Which I also agree with. Its hard to argue against after the Big Dave saga.

BUT I wanna see the plans for what I believe are very good reasons also. At this point in time we are at a cross roads, does KT show his hand or does he continue to play it tight? My view is that he can only play it tight up until the point he wants the fan base to bash the council with pressure…which he is already hinting that he wants to happen! The game will play out quickly now. Especially if we keep losing 6-0!  Grin

The cracks were starting to show for Cardoza and he needed wins to bury bad news but unfortunately for him the cobblers lose at home, and in his own words, "Everything  would've been ok had we not lost to Dagenham and fcuking Redbridge" 😂😂

Most of you lot should be more concerned about AFC tomorrow than making pointless comments on KT and Redev.

Great post Everbrite , the whole reason we are in this mess now

As said above fans who cannot see how our crappy ground and a slow acting chairman, unwilling to grow our club without big favours from NBC affects ultimately what happens on the pitch and how it is far more important than one game at home mid season.

Ok be concerned about The game but have to emailed JFH and told him your ideas, requested a meeting so you can run through the team line up??

I am sorry but to me the football club feels the same as it did in many of DCs final years ( before we want answers). Is it a coincidence that the lack of off field plans and time spent treading water ( after doing some painting and knocking a hole in the loos) that we are struggling at the bottom of the league?
If it not for the positive hangover from the league 2 winners we would have been relegated last season , now we are in the bottom 4 and just suffered our biggest defeat at Sixfields.  That generally does not happen when everyone is united and forging ahead, as in every business, if you stand still, you go backwards.

Hi Drilling but there are a few things IMHO regarding KT that I have issues with

1. Gained control of club by agreeing with council to finish East stand with £3 m and indicated that this would start almost immediately. Hence why NBC removed £10m debt to NTFC

2. Removed the Trusts board member

3. Not paid back the £10k to the trust as agreed

4. Sold out the club shop to his mates as he done when at Oxford

5 made little changes to office staff and facilities

6 said our club is small and basically is not worth expanding

7 in two years has not even suggested what he wants to do with the club

8 appointed two crappy, uninspiring, safe and dull managers

9 every transfer is undisclosed

10 repeats history with moaning about NBC and asking for the Trust support

There's a start,  I suppose it is a pipe dream but I want a chairman who believes in Northampton, it's history, the opportunity, the possibilities, who then sets about getting the best people in to build up a club for the Championship.  I said many times in DC days about Burton, they achieved it with no fans and no history but with a great chairman and world class training facilities.

Typical response from you all justification. Of course you miss the point which is time and place for everything, vent your views after the match.
