ahçeşehir Okulları Stadium Capacity 10,130
Alanya Population 291.643 (according to the Alanya official page)
3.4%
Using your 10 mile radius includes Mahmutlar with a population of 15,000+
3.3%

Difference is between us if I actually research and use facts and not opinions hidden as facts
Firstly, its not in Europe, so a little 3rdy worldy and the town itself has just 96,000 which is a little bigger than Wellingborough and has a 10,000 plus stadium!
These are facts😂
One thing we call all agree on is that Sixfields as it is, is destroying our clubs chances to grow and doesn't  allows the local population to watch football in a more atmospheric  professional stadium and the oppertunity to compete as equals with similar towns and cities that have proper infrastructure. 😗

They're not in Asia either. Some call it Eurasia which isn't considered one of the continents. Most of the land mass is in Asia but political they consider themselves European (trying to join the EU is symbolic of this). Most insurance companies also consider it to be European

Quote
The population of Alanya increased in 2.18% according to the latest census of population in 2015. The population of Alanya was 285.407 in 2014 and today it is 291.643. According to the TUIK (Turkish Statistical Institute) in 2015 there were 149.193 male and 139.318 female. Based on this statistics Alanya as a town is bigger than 22 cities in Turkey.

The figure icludes only local people with permanent residence address in Alanya.

This is a fact... with a reputable source

We could do with a game or new signings.

Forget your 300k. Once San Sixfields/PTS etc is finished in all it's glory and we are battling for a European place, we can tap into all 700,000 folk of Northants and steal the fans of Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea, Leicester, Coventry, MK Dons (both of them) etc etc... Not long before we are one of the top 6, with Dyche at the helm.

Failing that he could just put some turnstiles on the East Stand, it'd be a start.

This is now getting surreal. Has anyone got the slightest idea what the last few postings are on about? May I again ask to not post unless you have any actual news or a sensible idea.

I was challenging a crap point made with facts and evidence but agree it took us off topic.
Until the legal side of the land is signed off and we have detailed plans from KT everything is going to be pure speculation. Hopefully we will know soon, especially before the start of the season.

At the last census the town of Wellingborough's population was 49.000, you're doing it again !!!!!

PS. I'm STILL waiting for a list of "most non league clubs now have corporate boxes"   Smiley

Trying to sort the wheat from the chaff of this thread a bit here.

Beds yes the ground could be expanded fairly simply, particularly the North and South stands. I don't think that is worth going over much more. It's not a massive job. Is there a business case for it? Debatable.

Could the projected future growth of the town sustain it? I think yes.

The board appear to have the East Stand in hand although in an ideal world I think most would see the thing demolished. The potential for increased capacity in the East appears limited.

There is a feeling of the club being in limbo regarding the redevelopment, with far too little detail actually being discussed. This is far from ideal, especially with the club's recent history. The Council need to understand this too.

We are yet to find out what is in it for Bower or whoever else to finance the completion of the East Stand. Maybe it'll be a straight loan with payments from the income, who knows? There are also further questions about what will be the board's ultimate payoff from the whole project and what the sparsely mentioned masterplan actually entails and their role in it. This will be more of interest to the town as a whole.

The short-medium term intent of the board seems unclear after the sale of what approximated a controlling interest to 5USports and then the subsequent termination of their involvement.

The current financial state of the club is important and that should be gone over with a fine toothed comb by the Trust with what details are available.

There appears to be very little buzz about the club which after the Wilder promotion is disappointing but when you look at almost our entire history playing in the bottom division then we find a bit of perspective.

I feel exactly the same AS, seriously I do.

Most fans don't care we are in the bottom division again, happy to accept that it has always been that way so we shouldn't bother demanding better

Most fans don't care that we have a crappy stadium and are happy to nit pick other posters comparisons etc rather than push our owners to actually do something they promised

Most fans don't care that for the last 10 years we have had a board with no plan for the club except development of outside land for their own personal gain.

So why the hell should I care either. Typical Northampton, Typical Northampton people with no guts or ambition. Shame because it has been proven in the past, when needed they do care, they do make a difference but quickly return to their shell happy for outsiders to take over.

Roll on T20 and hope that another sporting Northampton team can beat the odds and rise to the title of best T20 team in the country (they never got the credit they deserved last time either)

Bull. No fan is happy with relegation and playing in the bottom division and all want to be playing at a higher level. Some might not want Premier League football as they like supporting a 'real' and 'local' team but they'll be few and far between

Bull. Most fans want a better stadium but we all have different approaches to it. I only nit pick when people post either opinion as fact or make incorrect statements to suit their own agenda (a bit like this response)

Most fans don't care that for the last 10 years we have had a board with no plan for the club except development of outside land for their own personal gain.
Bull. Most fans care passionately about this club and want the CLUB to develop but just because we got burnt by a previous owner don't assume the worst with the current.

So why the hell should I care either. Typical Northampton, Typical Northampton people with no guts or ambition. Shame because it has been proven in the past, when needed they do care, they do make a difference but quickly return to their shell happy for outsiders to take over.

And I promised myself I wouldn't react any more. If you are clearly more passionate about this club than 'most fans' then please tell me what you have ACTUALLY done to progress the situation other that post bulls*** on here

So... In the last six months, or possibly twelve. Enlighten us with how much you actually care. Tell me what you, Beds and a handful of over have done outside of this forum.

I don't want any rubbish about DC. You and Beds, and a few others. Tell me what you have done to avert the doomsday scenarios you predict.

sorry Uni I see very little evidence from most fans / posters on here, including you ! that they want anything better for their club. Those who ask questions of our owners are ridiculed by posters like yourself, comparisons with other clubs are nit picked to the umpteen degree whilst any very valid evidence / comparison / or questions is simply ignored. The standard response of 'oh i am agruing cos they said it was a fact" is nonsense, just diverting attention away from actually agreeing that we are still failing as a football club.

What I have actually done is to try and get other fans to get more involved, I have asked / pushed the Trust to do more, I have stood up against a barrage of 'abuse' from posters like you, accusing me (and others) of personal agendas etc
In the past I have been to Trust board meetings, rattled buckets, volunteered at the club earning and saving them £10 000's, swept water from the path to ensure fans could get to the ground, escorted a current world cup manager to his seat aafter half time after we lost track of time talking, won supporter of the year for all most volunteer work etc etc etc.

So Uni what have you done then if you are not happy with relegation and the stadium?  How exactly have you shown u are not happy and what are you prepared to do about?

Hammy what are you on about?

I went back to the club to help out and found that just about nothing has changed and no to little medium term planning.

See my last post

Great response from KT since he got what he wanted, love the new plans and excitement of the club he plans to build. Oh no sorry I have jumped the gun, I need to wait another 2 years or more yet as there are new excuses, sorry legal reasons why a hammer can't be swung anywhere near the East stand.

The FACT that KT screwed NBC so he could get cheap Northampton land doesn't seem to bother you or many others, so don't worry about it, for that reason I'm OUT.

Ridiculous comment. It's a privately owned football club owned by people who give next to nothing away. What's he supposed to do? It's like expecting someone to cook a meal in the kitchen when they are locked out of the house.

Hammy I don't understand why you are so vocal in your support of KT other than he talked to you rather than shouted at you like DC did

In terms of action his first 3 years have been very very similar to most of DC's tenure. Ie: 90% concentration on land, 10% on NTFC

There is no aspect of KT reign that you can say has been a success except a couple of loan signings for CW to romp away with the league.

Thanks Tom, I appreciate your support

I don't mind that some don't want to get involved, what i don't understand is why fans are so keen to put down those that make suggestions to try and push the club forward.

You have put info out there regarding funding of stands etc and every time you are subjected to sarcastic comments.

Then comes the "what have you done about it"  etc   LOL

I'm afraid this all comes with a vacuum of information. Really don't need to start turning on each other though.
