U need to re read my posts Melbourne as I have not come up with any business plans.

U try to talk up business acument, return on investment etc etc, mostly to support a business owner who offers no business planning, growth or best practice.

Do u think a centrally based town with a population of over 250k, without a top marque club within 60 miles be able to support Prem or Champinship football?

That town has a club already that has a football league history, that has a fan base of 20k plus, that took 7000 fans to a game in the hope that victory would get them a ticket to a game against a top Prem team

Is there a business opportunity there?
The wife is watching s*** on the telly so I have decided to indulge you. Your most recent “business plan” can be found on the now locked fan ownership thread on February 9th 2019. I’m still sceptical, are you happy now I have answered your serious question? FFS, I need to get a life, see below.

I still find it amazing that some come on here and talk about me saying only best scenario etc etc yet completely ignore the failings of the current and previous managers. In a nutshell whatever fan owner ship is it seems that it must be 100% perfect to gain an support from certain individuals yet are happy with current owners who are imho 1% perfect

The other thing some have wrong is that i am advocating very slow, focus and sustainable growth and actually trying to run the football club for all. Certainly sure that whoever owns the club they will make bad signings however isn't it about time some of you actually starting looking at the bigger picture and ask why do we sign so many players / managers etc and also the calibre and potential of those players. I believe that NTFC has a relatively bad reputation within football, training facilities are poor, player facilities are poor, atmosphere is poor, the owners are mainly absent and there is little / no ambition, these are the things that over time could and should be fixed, which in turn will attract better players.

In summary there has to be a much better balance between on and off pitch investment, in the past it seems 105% player / manager and -5% off the pitch. That would be my focus, I would slash the wage / management bill until off the pitch catches up a bit. If that meant finishing 18th in league 2 for the next 4 seasons then so be it but then player facilities would have improved, better staff, better atmosphere within the club would improve our chances on the pitch.

A competitive established league one club with real championship aspersions, playing in a professional looking atmospheric ground that fans are excited to visit.. this is our fate and it will happen as soon as Thomas goes.

I doubt it .
I also doubt Thomas will go anytime soon because no one wants to buy us for the money he is asking without any development rights.
It’s simply a fact of life .
Stop stressing yourself out , accept it and cheer the team on .

That's exactly as I see it (and can understand why they would be reticent to do so). I also think that getting the ACV to cover the old athletics stadium has probably compounded this problem too.

And/or a lack of up-front funding for an East Stand-first resolution ??

So to be clear, the business plan from Random there is that we stop spending on the pitch and dabble with relegation out of the league for 4 seasons to develop the ground. Fair enough, but when myself and others question the validity of that plan we get accused of “not being supporters” “lapping up” KTs rhetoric, and being the reason the club is in its current position? Hopefully this has clarified the justification for some of the ridicule Vintage?

I have accepted Thomas is going to take some shifting while he seeks vast wealth from council lands.
But Im not stressing but will happily watch from the hill knowing Im not providing oxygen to his nonsensical running of our football club.

A community centric club with workable plans that allows steady sustainable growth by working very closely with the council, local buisneses and most importantly our 300,000 catchment ,  where all profits from income is ploughed back into the club, so everyone can see improvements made.
This is what we need.
Thomas , cardoza , other land grabbers or gazillionaires need not apply.

wrong again, Randy asked me to demonstrate where he had put forward a plan. This was not another attempt to discuss the topic which took place in February. Once again you twist a post to gain the opportunity to spout the endless protestations and one of the reasons most fans display apathy towards the subject. You claim to despise KTs approach, it’s not reciprocal, he loves yours Beds.

You can't see the wood from the trees but only because you don't want or it's too much like hard work. Tel is absolutely when it comes to many of our supporter base.

The sadness is we will get what the likes of you deserve - perennial L2 and financial survival struggle, perhaps the occasional promotion to paper over the cracks but followed by relegation within 2 years and all this combined with a dysfunctional stadium hemmed in on the east side by commercial development from which our present owners will have made a killing and moved on leaving us with pretty well a zero asset base.

You need to very careful where you go with this attitude. Any paying supporter is as entitled to an opinion as much as you or anyone one else. You might have the ear of "some" of the Trust board, but don't start elevating your status to anything more than what you are. As I have said, I have a genuine respect for anyone that has the time and inclination to dedicate additional work around what is hopefully a brighter future for the club. But don't get too carried away. The assumption that you are more knowledgeable or better equipped, is a very precarious path to take. You might have a surprise or two up your sleeve. But a bit less Sabre rattling and more constructive dialogue would be my advice...

I can see that the Trust appear to be trying to establish something positive. They absolutely should be. They are doing what they should, not a favour. It does't necessarily look good that it has took them four years to wake up to the obvious. Arriving at the eleventh hour of a situation, then chastising your members and other supporters for doing nothing for nearly as long as they have, is hardly productive. Hearts and minds... Hearts and minds.

I don't exclude myself from those of us who need to drop our egos and accommodate a broader perspective.  But if we are going to have a community club, or any form of fan led initiative, it's important that we all turn over a new leaf and move forward as EQUALS. Hopefully any constructive momentum will inspire a better response on all sides. Who knows.. Even KT might start to join in with a more open and constructive dialogue. I know it's not something he particularly relishes. But it might just work..

Seriously mate, a quality post. In my immature way this is all I am trying to get Randy and Beds to embrace. Unfortunately I am incapable of your eloquence.

Thanks for the breakdown, I didn't realise that the value on the commercial/residential was as much as that. Couple of points though:

* I understand the Trust may be working hard behind the scenes to push KT on this, but what are they doing to get the "average joe" supporter like myself behind the cause? Is there a route for us to voice our concerns in unison or is it just joining the Trust and hoping they can manage it quietly? I may have missed something here, but I don;t recall seeing a massive call-to-arms if you will.

* Is there a possibility that KT will sell the land and make his profit, but at the same time complete the East Stand and remove the debt from the club? Whilst we don't benefit as we should, we would have things complete and a clean slate for a new owner/investor? I would not want this personally, but it sounds better than him selling up and leaving us with a half finished stand and more debt.
No problem mate, I think the first question is better answered by one of the trust board. The second question, KT can not sell the land for any value without outline planning and the council wont give him it without the conditions of a finished east stand and £6m.

Sorry everyone if I have been on a rant tonight. For our redevelopment fans let me try and explain where I sit with the ground thing. I was first taken to the County Ground as a 6 year old by my dear departed Dad. He loved the club, he was there for the highs and the lows. He attended the game with the largest capacity against Fulham and the lowest against Chester. Rain or shine he was there. In 2004 he had a bought of ill health which restricted his attendance. As a result he was a unable to get a ticket for the Man U game whilst listening to people who had never been before or since tell him how great it was. This absolutely broke his heart. Hence when fcuking w@nkers come on here telling me I am happy that we play at poxy Sixfields with its non league capacity I get the hump and have a tendency to over react. However I still don’t want the club to over commit and sink into oblivion, and neither would Dad, despite Man U.

Yep I was there v Chester too and for the 11k v Cardiff and the 44k v Grimsby.

Look at our league positions this last 20 seasons. How much money spent  on players and managers v how much income produced by those players v how much success we have had for that investment.

You reckon ur a businessman.  Has that been money well spent?  Great ROI ??

How many times have we finished in the top 8 in 20 years ??

Perhaps most importantly now under the current ownership how many times can u see us finishing in the top 7 in the next 5 years?

Fans have put forward their desire to have more of a say, how can they possibly run the club worse?  Our transfer policy is throw lots of shot at the wall and hope a bit of it sticks

Today community clubs like Wycombe, Lincoln , Exeter , Burton , Forest Green and Accrington all look to be doing far better than us. Clubs similar to our catchment area(or less)  like Watford, Norwich, Huddersfield,   Burnley have far far more success.

There’s no reckon about it. I have started 6 businesses in 3 different continents. All still successful and profitable. I still own 4 in 2 continents with a turnover in excess of 5 million and profit margins ranked good to very good. There are plenty of people on this forum who know who I am including Barton and CJ and our company figures are a matter of public record and can be on the computer screen and confirmed free of charge in under a minute. I have nothing to prove to anyone including you. So you can stick your patronising opinions with your ridiculous business plans where the sun don’t shine pal.

Raul mate, not you as well? Even with our success I can’t anywhere near afford to make a difference. I keep telling people you need around 15 million minimum to take the club forward and afford to lose it. They won’t have it but my experience tells me otherwise. But it’s a football club they cry which is completely different to other businesses, because it gives them the only conceivable angle to disregard my opinion. The trouble with people on here is they think with what’s in their chest, they should try thinking with what’s between their ears. I guarantee that you will get the usual responses to this post with absolutely no credence given to my opinion despite my track record. I am just an irrelevance whilst they believe their opinions are to be honoured and respected by god himself.
