Sorry everyone if I have been on a rant tonight......
Actually Melly I quite enjoy your posts not many on here take on Random, Vintage and Beds on with their boring monotonous ill informed posts. Keep it up and ignore the snipes from lesser mortals!

Seriously mate, a quality post. In my immature way this is all I am trying to get Randy and Beds to embrace. Unfortunately I am incapable of your eloquence.
Don't bother trying to get me to embrace anything, I've known for years whats wrong with our club and what it needs to get it moving, if a fair bit of What I suggested comes to fruition, we'll have a very bright future.😉

A community centric club with workable plans that allows steady sustainable growth by working very closely with the council, local buisneses and most importantly our 300,000 catchment , where all profits from income is ploughed back into the club, so everyone can see improvements made. This is what we need. Thomas , cardoza , other land grabbers or gazillionaires need not apply.
I don't know how old you are, but this ain't gonna happen in my lifetime.

You need to very careful where you go with this attitude. Any paying supporter is as entitled to an opinion as much as you or anyone one else. You might have the ear of "some" of the Trust board, but don't start elevating your status to anything more than what you are. As I have said, I have a genuine respect for anyone that has the time and inclination to dedicate additional work around what is hopefully a brighter future for the club. But don't get too carried away. The assumption that you are more knowledgeable or better equipped, is a very precarious path to take. You might have a surprise or two up your sleeve. But a bit less Sabre rattling and more constructive dialogue would be my advice...
I can see that the Trust appear to be trying to establish something positive. They absolutely should be. They are doing what they should, not a favour. It does't necessarily look good that it has took them four years to wake up to the obvious. Arriving at the eleventh hour of a situation, then chastising your members and other supporters for doing nothing for nearly as long as they have, is hardly productive. Hearts and minds... Hearts and minds.
I don't exclude myself from those of us who need to drop our egos and accommodate a broader perspective. But if we are going to have a community club, or any form of fan led initiative, it's important that we all turn over a new leaf and move forward as EQUALS. Hopefully any constructive momentum will inspire a better response on all sides. Who knows.. Even KT might start to join in with a more open and constructive dialogue. I know it's not something he particularly relishes. But it might just work..
TFAMY - there is no need to be insulting with comments about me having the “ear” of “some” on the Trust Board and other lines like warning me to not get “carried away” and “not elevating my status to anything more than what you are”. You are a bit of a snake in the grass with such snide remarks. They are totally out of order. You only succeed in making yourself inadequate. Perhaps the Trust Board or “some on the Board” do not want to lend you their ”ear’ and you are bitter about it? When quoting or anyone else it is only right that you do so in the right context. I think it was only yesterday that I commented that you agreed with me that one of the issues was motivating and mobilising our supporters. Later that same day Deepcut posted “It’s confusing the hell out of me because I haven’t taken much of a detailed interest” and then “Let’s get on with the football”. You may think that is an opinion about matters surrounding the Redevelopment. I do not and I made it clear what I think is the end result of such an attitude. All I have tried to do in recent days is draw to readers attention what is happening on the Redevelopment because several posting on this site have been wide of the mark with their comments about what is in progress. I have done this by only stating and drawing on what has been in the media by way of the club’s (KT) comments and the position of the Council as set out in the Trust’s recent statements published on its website. This has resulted in some healthy and positive exchanges with the likes of Melbourne and a fair number agreeing with my views. It is my way of doing a little bit to try and motivate our fellow supporters. Anything else I am doing is not for discussion on this or any other forum because it would be inappropriate.

I have no problem agreeing with a fair proportion of your perspective. But I can assure you, I am far from the only one who finds your methods agricultural at times. However, you don’t need to keep justifying yourself. As I said. Neither you or I are what’s important here. And I for one will do my best to continue with a more conciliatory tone. Why when I say that, does Oscar Wilde saying “I can resist everything but temptation” figure so strongly 😁😁😁

I said it years ago and I still feel the same now, Claret is a jinx for us.
We really need to change our colours, Claret is dull and negative, the club needs an urgent input of positivity in to it because the Claret has sucked it all out.

Well.. That's certainly a fresh perspective. Just about everybody and everything has taken the blame in this social media era. So why not the colour of our shirts.
