The major difference as I see it is that back in the Cardoza days there was a conditional land transfer deal planned whereby the club was "guaranteed" to see some return from the transfer of the land (£5m + a percentage over another amount wasn't it?)

Now it seems that CDNL want to BUY the land off the Council.......the land they already hold the leases for? If CDNL own the land they can do what they want with it....and there is no guarantee of anything coming back to the Football Club. I mean...they could develop it.....they could sell it a year later to a totally unconnected developer and walk off into the sunset.

There is nothing new in there, with the exception of the fact that the council are now back out of the circle of trust 😂😂

I said on here over and over again that this council will screw us over, yet Beds stated that he trusted them.

The Trust has a significant amount of money, that has sat around doing nothing for far to long now. As I stated right from the start. Start posting out to the support, or hand out leaflets. If we are in this alleged crisis, letís see a matching urgency. Ask the support to join in a protest. Letís see how much momentum can be generated.

Too much talking.. Letís start rattling some cages.

Sounds like a good idea......I just have this nagging thought that until something big happens then the "fans" do not get behind anything like this. The large majority of football fans only care about whats going on on the pitch....and when the team isn't performing they protest against the manager and players.
The days of the Stonhill out, McRtchie out, Underwood out mobs seem so long ago! seems all we had to do in those days was protest and chant for a couple of matches and bingo, we had a change of owner!

Thomas has come under very little scrutiny from anyone.....which is surprising after nearly 4 years of stagnation.....but it still seems that the masses see him as "the man who saved the club"

I couldnít agree more. In fact I would completely echo what you have said.

But.. The Trust insist that the comfy relationship between the support and KT that you and I agree upon, is not as solid as it seems.

So once again I am asking them to come out of the shadows and get the show on the road. As I said to Vintage, at this point in time, we have gone from screaming out for one promise to be delivered, only to have two to choose from now. Neither have delivered on anything yet..

Iím up for a protest 1st game of the season nice big banner in the east stand, all over social media press etc.
#we want answers 2

I would rather see the Management incl Mr Chairman make sure we have a decent team for the coming season. After tonight I am concerned that we far from achieving that.

Thomas said right from the get go that and Iím paraphrasing ďfunds are set aside to develop the East StandĒ. I read that exactly as it said whilst assuming he had omitted the caveat ďif financially viable to do soĒ. Realistically that probably means if we are getting promoted to the championship. Misleading to say the least and this is where Beds and his supporters are spot on, is Thomas going to take the club forward? I doubt it, not unless KC pulls off a little magic act and delivers us into the championship. In any event KT wants to sell, so that in itself answers the question. Iíve said it before and Iíll say it again, forget the blame game and identifying whatís wrong. My 6 year old can work that out. The primary focus from here should what can we collectively and realistically do to change things if anything. What does ďThomas outĒ achieve other than quenching the thirst for blood? If Thomas is out thatís fine, but in the scheme of things itís nothing, heíll be just another owner/speculator in disguise that promised much and failed to deliver. What comes next is everything, and the only thing that should matter?

Some of the reasons why I believe these outsider speculators need to be shown the door....

Claiming Sixfields as is, is OK for L1 football then,
Subsequently...
Poor league position, back in L2 without a fight.
Falling gates,
lack of direction, without future planning.
Historic promises and deadlines made not met.
Mounting debts  dump on the club of £5m plus and rising.
Overtly demanding of our local council for land they are not entitled to as (in my opinion) they used the club and its desperate plight to get a stand finished as a Trojan horse to aquire a vast amount of council land riches that our club will never see. (Probably they will write off the several Millions in directors loans as being our share?)
Poor Management, to include..
 Appointments,
The Chinese debacle,
Lack of proper communications by keeping the clubs supporters and trust, second guessing their intentions.
Uncertainty caused by announcing the sale of the club claiming to be returning home to USA, only to do neither a year later.
Alienation of the club with its community,  mainly due to their secretive land aquirement, Supporters trust,  local groups and investors are not welcomed with funding help and organisation.

Had they performed half of the above at Posh, Luton, Watford Oxford, Milton Keynes they would've been shown the door years ago..
My hill top vantage point is looking ever more appealing,  why not come and join me😉

Beds - most (but not all) of what you say resonates with many supporters but the acid test/$64,000 question still remains - what is the alternative?

Thomas out and no more profiteering on the back of our club, which we've suffered for 20 years now, which is reflected in every aspect of our clubs current trading position.
What I would like to see is a more community driven club, thats based on local pride, with closer links to the buisness community and working closely with the NBC again.
A club that sees all profits and good fortune from player sales, extra incomes from cup runs, tv revenue , increased gate revenues etc, ploughed straight back into the club to help with continuous growth and pushing to build up the clubs profile.
How do we do this, easy.. get Thomas out.

As Cobblerwatch states. Nobody disagrees with a lot of what you say. Whilst being mindful of the fact that there are two, three, or thousands of different sides to this argument.

But at this moment you are just noise, nothing more. Albeit repetitive noise. I have never questioned how fervent you are. You know as well as me that my criticism revolves around activity. I openly admit that I am at a loss when it comes to affirmative action, because I'm not sure that I never expected all of this to manifest the way it has. I stated this at Cheyne walk many moons ago. I have never stopped saying that the surrounding land is just as much a curse as it it a potential gift. And as I stated to you numerous times over. The councils actions have once again landed the future of the club in a precarious position, by allowing certain types to show an interest in the club from a non football perspective. You just wouldn't have it. The problem as I see it, is the lack of experience shown in navigating this type of scenario. I was posting on here many months back the intrinsic pitfalls of dealing with dysfunctional organisations, whilst anticipating a honest response. I'm not even sure that conventional experience exists in this area. It is exceptionally specialist. Effectively you dealing with a customer base, that can lurch from open revolt, to a warm fuzzy feeling of content, based on where we are in the league, or how we performed at our last game.

There is a genuine need for the Trust to gauge the general consensus of the support. At the moment KT believes rightly or wrongly that he has the vast majority of the supports confidence. To challenge that, you need to show him that he is wrong. You are not going to do that from the backroom of a working mens club. You have to get an idea of the size of the support, or at least whether or not you are acting contrary to what is wanted. But once again the inherent risk in that, is that good old constant in football, fickleness (if that word even exists  Grin )  KT knows that he can play strategic trump cards to undermine any concerted effort to discredit him. But that's just business. In my opinion. And it remains the same as it has always been. KT hasn't thrown up anything that shocks me.

Just out of interest. How are your feelings about the Council now? Are you still as happy about them as you repeatedly stated over the last six months?

I'll come and join you Beds. How about we watch the Walsall game up there together. You can then tell me and the listeners of the podcast why you are watching the game from the hill rather than in the "comfort" of one of the stands. Completely free, open platform for you to get your thoughts across and perhaps galvanise some of the support to follow your example of actually doing something in protest to how you see the club is being run.

What do you say? I'm up for it if you are.

Mobilise the troops Beds, get a load of your mates up there, will be much more of a protest than just you on your own!!

Seriously, going forward, a boycott of sorts could be an option for an ORGANISED protest against the running of the club...Ö.if there is the appetite to do anything at all?

I'm already there! As I no longer recognise Thomas's club as being one to represent the town of Northampton, and the one I've followed for 50 years.
Is this a sudden wind change from the you and the pod cast boys, who normally only see positives in 20 years at the hands of greedy speculators?
I once asked a perfectly reasonable question of Thomas when you had him on, that you thought better of asking, do you think I won't discuss pressing issues?
Tell us on your next pod cast honestly, as to where you stand on the current state of our club and its inability to compete with our local rival clubs and those elsewhere of similar stature?
It would make for a great listen.
Oh and thanks for the recent mention,  did make me laugh😂
