Some of the reasons why I believe these outsider speculators need to be shown the door....

Claiming Sixfields as is, is OK for L1 football then,
Subsequently...
Poor league position, back in L2 without a fight.
Falling gates,
lack of direction, without future planning.
Historic promises and deadlines made not met.
Mounting debts  dump on the club of £5m plus and rising.
Overtly demanding of our local council for land they are not entitled to as (in my opinion) they used the club and its desperate plight to get a stand finished as a Trojan horse to aquire a vast amount of council land riches that our club will never see. (Probably they will write off the several Millions in directors loans as being our share?)
Poor Management, to include..
 Appointments,
The Chinese debacle,
Lack of proper communications by keeping the clubs supporters and trust, second guessing their intentions.
Uncertainty caused by announcing the sale of the club claiming to be returning home to USA, only to do neither a year later.
Alienation of the club with its community,  mainly due to their secretive land aquirement, Supporters trust,  local groups and investors are not welcomed with funding help and organisation.

Had they performed half of the above at Posh, Luton, Watford Oxford, Milton Keynes they would've been shown the door years ago..
My hill top vantage point is looking ever more appealing,  why not come and join me😉

Beds - most (but not all) of what you say resonates with many supporters but the acid test/$64,000 question still remains - what is the alternative?

Thomas out and no more profiteering on the back of our club, which we've suffered for 20 years now, which is reflected in every aspect of our clubs current trading position.
What I would like to see is a more community driven club, thats based on local pride, with closer links to the buisness community and working closely with the NBC again.
A club that sees all profits and good fortune from player sales, extra incomes from cup runs, tv revenue , increased gate revenues etc, ploughed straight back into the club to help with continuous growth and pushing to build up the clubs profile.
How do we do this, easy.. get Thomas out.

As Cobblerwatch states. Nobody disagrees with a lot of what you say. Whilst being mindful of the fact that there are two, three, or thousands of different sides to this argument.

But at this moment you are just noise, nothing more. Albeit repetitive noise. I have never questioned how fervent you are. You know as well as me that my criticism revolves around activity. I openly admit that I am at a loss when it comes to affirmative action, because I'm not sure that I never expected all of this to manifest the way it has. I stated this at Cheyne walk many moons ago. I have never stopped saying that the surrounding land is just as much a curse as it it a potential gift. And as I stated to you numerous times over. The councils actions have once again landed the future of the club in a precarious position, by allowing certain types to show an interest in the club from a non football perspective. You just wouldn't have it. The problem as I see it, is the lack of experience shown in navigating this type of scenario. I was posting on here many months back the intrinsic pitfalls of dealing with dysfunctional organisations, whilst anticipating a honest response. I'm not even sure that conventional experience exists in this area. It is exceptionally specialist. Effectively you dealing with a customer base, that can lurch from open revolt, to a warm fuzzy feeling of content, based on where we are in the league, or how we performed at our last game.

There is a genuine need for the Trust to gauge the general consensus of the support. At the moment KT believes rightly or wrongly that he has the vast majority of the supports confidence. To challenge that, you need to show him that he is wrong. You are not going to do that from the backroom of a working mens club. You have to get an idea of the size of the support, or at least whether or not you are acting contrary to what is wanted. But once again the inherent risk in that, is that good old constant in football, fickleness (if that word even exists  Grin )  KT knows that he can play strategic trump cards to undermine any concerted effort to discredit him. But that's just business. In my opinion. And it remains the same as it has always been. KT hasn't thrown up anything that shocks me.

Just out of interest. How are your feelings about the Council now? Are you still as happy about them as you repeatedly stated over the last six months?

I'll come and join you Beds. How about we watch the Walsall game up there together. You can then tell me and the listeners of the podcast why you are watching the game from the hill rather than in the "comfort" of one of the stands. Completely free, open platform for you to get your thoughts across and perhaps galvanise some of the support to follow your example of actually doing something in protest to how you see the club is being run.

What do you say? I'm up for it if you are.

Mobilise the troops Beds, get a load of your mates up there, will be much more of a protest than just you on your own!!

Seriously, going forward, a boycott of sorts could be an option for an ORGANISED protest against the running of the club...….if there is the appetite to do anything at all?

I'm already there! As I no longer recognise Thomas's club as being one to represent the town of Northampton, and the one I've followed for 50 years.
Is this a sudden wind change from the you and the pod cast boys, who normally only see positives in 20 years at the hands of greedy speculators?
I once asked a perfectly reasonable question of Thomas when you had him on, that you thought better of asking, do you think I won't discuss pressing issues?
Tell us on your next pod cast honestly, as to where you stand on the current state of our club and its inability to compete with our local rival clubs and those elsewhere of similar stature?
It would make for a great listen.
Oh and thanks for the recent mention,  did make me laugh😂

A one man protest may attract more attention 😂, I will watch several games from up there and donate to the Trust.

So what is your thoughts on the Council???
Hi Nigel,  I look at the very best things that happened to our club in the past 25 years and all are a direct result of NBC helping our club to progress, firstly 25 years ago they gifted us with a little stadium that was designed for expansion to allow our club to progress up the divisions, we failed to expand or move up the divisions,  so they allowed Cardoza to have a massive £12m to finally move our club forward, but due to some absolute fcukery by a few people,  it got weasled away.
They then despite being rinsed of £10m they waived their demands for money owed so to allowed Thomas and co to take the club for peanuts on a promise they had £4m on the hip so to finish the piece of crap thats standing like a monument to miss management.
They didnt finish it..
The council, while not perfect have gone way and above and beyond what would be expected of them, they have done far more than any outside speculators have or ever will.
We will one day need their help again, and its important that we work closely with them.

Are you declining the invitation, then?

Personally, I would love to hear you on there. That would give me, and others, the best possible chance of understanding your POV and what can be done in your eyes.

I think we give a fairly frank assessment of our opinions on the East Stand in this week's episode, Beds.

As for your question that you asked to ask KT - He appeared on the BBC Cobblers Show an hour before he recorded with us. He was asked the same question plus a lot more by Marc Webber and the BBC folks. I listened at the time and made the call to not ask him anything on the East Stand as I knew we wouldn't get any different answers. The podcast was then released the next day. The club did not inform of us KT's appearance on the BBC show until quite late. I made an editorial decision and went along the lines of trying to get to know him a little better, as a person and the chairman of our club.
We are not journalists, we are 3 fans who make a podcast. Sure, we could have asked the same questions Marc Webber did but what would have been the point? He would have sidestepped them and then our episode would have been no different to what the fans got to hear on the radio.

Back to my offer. Are you willing to chat with me, on the record, for the podcast?

That is not a problem. I shall be at the ground all day on Saturday if you are. Don't worry if not. I'm happy to arrange to chat with you. I think it would work very well to do it during a game while on the hill.

Credit where credits due, this is actually a very good post and I happen to agree. Although the ongoing legal process may perhaps reveal some dubious motives for the loan?
