As you have confirmed that you are not a member of the Trust Board, there is no reason for not doing what Wazza did by going to ask KT to answer the questions that Wazza didn't ask? He may have a bit of time on his hands at the moment to see you. Could I ask you to do that in order that you stop putting those or any such questions to him on a forum expecting an answer from I don't know who? (I won't provide another analogy, because you didn't understand the last one that I provided.)
(I know that I am going to regret posting and amongst other things I'll probably be accused of being a KT supporter but I had a spare couple of minutes to waste whilst waiting for the next Cv update.)

Deepcut - on the questions I asked wazza., take the one about the boundary issue and go to the Trust's website and consider its statement on 17 April 2019. Then ask yourself, did KT provide an answer. I can tell you emphatically, NO. So where does lead your sharp brain?
This site is routinely monitored by KT's faithful lieutenants and they will be reporting back to HQ. I am sure you will be invited to a cosy cup of coffee when he is next in the UK.
On 5USport, if you are satisfied with the bland version provided by KT that is a matter for you.

I'm not the one feeling the need to ask any questions, therefore I don't look for any answers.

Well, that says it all. Deaf, dumb and blind to all important matters of ownership. Enjoy your coffee.

MC, I am not a member of the Trust Board and as I made clear when posting yesterday to all this sniping at the Trust Board the views I express are my own. I hope that is clear.
You seem to be claiming that the Trust Board is acting without a mandate on community ownership. You could not be more wrong. The idea of community ownership was mooted in the summer of 2018, discussed at the Trust’s AGM in November 2018 and was the subject of a public meeting in March 2019. A position statement was put to members at the AGM in November 2019 and approved again. I was there on each occasion. Democracy at work.
So, MC may I politely suggest that you get your facts right before firing off such comments.
I’m a member and have never been asked to vote on or approve anything, fact. As a result my comments stand.

Sorry MC, that's errant nonsense. You could have attended at the AGMs or appointed a proxy and attended at the open meeting You did not.

For those of us that may have found attending meetings impractical I would suggest the democratic and far simpler thing to do would to be to allow a vote electronically or by post? By way of an example British government have adopted and instigated this option for millions of expats in elections so it is far from errant as well you know. It is neither expensive or technically difficult to adopt so why the ridiculous resistance to a perfectly reasonable suggestion?

Take it up with the Trust, MC, not me. The Trust has its own website, twitter feed and facebook presence as you know full well.
But the fundamental point is that you had the opportunity to express your view and did not. Your argument has been shot down in flames. The community aspect was and is being democratically handled. End of.

No it’s not the end of. I didn’t have the opportunity and since it has the tools you have highlighted it makes it all the more confusing that the opportunity wasn’t given? If it is being run for the members then the democratic thing to do is to allow all members a reasonable opportunity to vote on courses of action? Unless you think it’s reasonable I spend 44 hours on a plane to make my views count?

Come on MC, more correctly put you didn't take the opportunity and don't place the blame on anyone other than yourself. You have as much access to the Trust's media platforms as anyone else. But this is a distraction - you said the Trust was handling the community ownership aspect in an undemocratic manner and you have been proven to be wrong. Accept it with good grace.

It’s 3am in the morning go to bed Melly. I can’t, I’m still putting Sellotape around the doors to keep the virus out. On a separate note the season being extended means the clocks change and I get kick off at midnight for all remaining games. A rather irrelevant silver lining in the context of the current situation, but at this point in time it’s all I’ve got?

Sorry VC I completely disagree and dispute I’ve been proved wrong? I think this might be moving towards impasse, what do you say?

So the Trust Board shouldn't do or say anything without a referendum of the membership? Is that what you are saying?

Yes indeed, Cordwainer2.
On which subject, just how often do our owners consult with its minority shareholders (who include the Trust1) on anything?

I say MC see again my post MC at 14:24:22. That very adequately answers your assertions that the Trust Board is acting undemocratically. I reacted because what you claimed was groundless. But, look, we enjoy a good banter and we won't fall out about it. i enjoy our exchanges which, whatever our differing points of view, are a case of each of us saying it as we see it. This is a board for opinions after all. At the end of the day we have this in common - our commitment to the Cobblers. UTC.

No, the original point many moons ago was the trust was trying to establish the feasibility of community ownership. Perhaps it would have been an idea to canvas the entire membership to establish the true enthusiasm for the concept and perhaps ask some other relevant questions such as would you be willing to purchase a shareholding, and by how much? By way of an answer I believe it is perhaps the best way forward, yes and a couple of grand. I then suggested that it was a source of frustration for me that the trust wasn’t being more proactive with the membership and instigating more input. I conceded at the time I was guilty of not making an effort to engage myself, but the point was the Trust appears to be struggling a little bit with membership and the launch of the forum demonstrated they were trying to address this. I thought it a nice and simple solution that was really made with the best intentions by someone who happens to be fond of the trust. However, it has not gone as well as I had hoped?
