Any chance someone can find/take an up to date photo of the stand, not sure what to expect next Saturday.
Maybe try placing an order for prawn sandwiches.

Update from KT, all very positive...will no doubt p1ss off the usual irrelevant haters! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0j99361What was it..."The owners are NEVER going to finish the stand, land grabbers, mothballing club etc etc" Enjoy your humble pie! Oh, how is your brand new club formation getting on btw & most importantly, will it have a boxpark?!

Tbf if I’d been wrong about every single thing I’d go quiet.

Just contradicted yourself there.

Let me make one thing absolutely clear, the Trust “advisor” is not god. Are you going to tell him or shall I?

But didn't the " Special Advisor" post a photo and state, along with his puppet, that nothing was happening and nothing ever would ?

Not quite, he posted a photo of the stand and said this. Photo taken 10th June at Sixfields. Report is that no works have been started on the East Stand. The sole activity of the contractors appears at this stage to be continuing to ready what was the Running Track Lease land. Ready for what and for whom?

Tom Reed sharing his positivity on X... Hard to get excited about the stand Jake, feels like a massive missed opportunity overall, which, of course goes back to the previous owners. Adding under 200 seats + some restricted view seats in 2024 is frustrating . Luton put their boxes in Kenilworth Road in 1986 and are now moving on to Power Court. When you look at the plans at Cambridge and Oxford it's hard to see how Cobblers will keep pace. The gains for everyday fans seem modest and no movement with safe standing etc. I understand that many fans are happy with the East Stand works fwiw and fair play for Thomas for showing what is going on with the ground works, which were few and far between in the original East Stand redevelopment.

Lost me at that part. Total nonsense.

I think he's referring to the meagre gain in seats. Overall, without apportioning blame, it's hard to disagree with his sentiment.

Good old Meccano stand. Hasnt been seen on here since the Moat house hotel (whatever its called now) meeting, and the leaflets were handed out. And to a man, the trust denied all knowledge of them. Hes probably still bitter about being hung out to dry.

Indeed - always very careful with the choice of words. The implications are always clear but the actual words allow a get out clause when proven wrong - which actually seems to happens quite a lot!

Bit tired of these protestations around the design and timelines of the stand. Often it was stated directly to them that instead of continuing on the chosen path, the main protagonists would have been better placed to lobby for the minimum standards of design specifications regarding the stand. It was suggested solicitations and/or demands could have been directed at the club and/or council to be specified as part of any land deal. However, not once during the process was any of this given any meaningful attention until the 12th hour. The decision to embark on alternative strategies was made, and that proved spectacularly unsuccessful. The alternative could and should have been initiated years ago. Ultimately despite the endless warnings, the wrong strategy was chosen, and the net result is no influence over the design by those who now choose to complain. But it’s not like they didn’t have or weren't given the opportunity to consider the other options. At the end of the day it wouldn’t have been any more futile that what eventually transpired and who knows, some of any shortcomings may have been addressed in part or full. Unfortunately for the misanthropes, they well and truly burnt the bridge with the relevant parties, and it’s way too late to insist on anything now.
