NEWS FROM THE SUPPORTERS TRUST

East Stand and land development at Sixfields • The football club applied for a Non Material Amendment (NMA) to the East Stand development which was refused by West Northamptonshire Council planners. The club has now re-submitted a revised NMA which is under consideration by the council. A new planning application will be needed for changes to the stand frontage and parking.

Football Governance Bill • The Trust has written to Secretary of State Lisa Nandy MP around ensuring primacy for Supporters Trusts in the Football Governance Bill legislation currently being debated. Our letter is supported by 14 other Trusts.  Link here:- https://www.ntfctrust.co.uk/news/article/trust-leads-on-footballgovernance-bill-initiative

Asset of Community Value • The Trust has re-applied for Sixfields Stadium, the West Stand car park and land behind the East Stand to be recognised as an Asset of Community Value under the Localism Act which enables community groups to be given early notification of the intended sale of land or premises covered by an ACV. We are awaiting the outcome of the application.  Link here:- https://www.ntfctrust.co.uk/news/article/acv-for-sixfields-stadium--reapplication

Comments made by club chairman Kelvin Thomas on Radio Northampton • The Trust sought a right to reply from BBC Radio Northampton following comments made by club chairman Kelvin Thomas in respect of the Supporters Trust on the 7 November edition of the Cobbler show. I said I wouldn't comment on the Trust any more but I also want them to get back to a position of influence and importance.
Therefore I would suggest the Trust reach out to Members and Non Members, similar to what they did for the Infrastructure bill, to get a feel on what members and non members feel about the Trust, what people think are the key focus areas, what areas they Trust should push more, if people are not members why not and what you could do to get them to join etc. Essentially some sort of pulse check.

Whilst I am breaking my rule, was the summary report ratified at the August board meeting and if so can you confirm when it will be shared (apologies if I have missed it, but couldnt see it on the website).

Gives me a nice warm fuzzy feeling that the works that Derek et al said would never happen are! Looks like they're going to have to find other things to moan about  Wink

There was a moan recently about the frames, some bloke who supports a Scottish team wasn’t happy

"As if Saturday night wasn’t bad enough, I did notice that someone has installed council housing windows into the new East Stand ( BM Warehouse).
Wow as if it doesn’t look bad enough…….." from the 4/11/2024.

You do wonder if they’ve had the sprinklers on today in preparation for tomorrows deluge. Understandable that they’d probably like another week off
