I doubt the team Liverpool put out will be THAT much better than those that Bolton and Sunderland put out when we outplayed them. Their first-team isn't exactly what it used to be at the moment.

The major difference is it's at Anfield, our players will probably freeze when they walk down the tunnel and see that famous sign.

5-1.

Your maroon font does not go well with a claret ish background???!!!

I don't think Anfield will make them "freeze" to be honest, it'll probably give them a huge lift to be playing there in a competitive game and we always seem to do better away from home in these big cup ties. Visiting the big grounds may make some League One/Two players stop in their tracks but I think it'll have the opposite effect on our lads. We'll lose, but not heavily. 2-0.

When d the Cobbs ever play well on front of a big crowd?

Numerous occasions in the last few years.

Forest in the league (07/08)
Leicester in the league (08/09)
Leeds in the FA Cup (08/09)
Sunderland in the League Cup (08/09)

And big grounds/much stronger opposition, despite the low crowds:

Bolton in the League Cup (08/09)
Reading in the League Cup (09/10)

The likes of Phillips, McFadden and Jerome on the teamsheet against Brum in pre-season didn't faze them either.

Do you know what "Nemesis" means?

A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent personified in this case by a sex starved voyeur that is Tyro.

Ah well, I'm sure all the guys who are coming out of the woodwork will ensure we have a bumper crowd for Southend followed by a massive following who won't know any of the songs when we rock up at Anfield!!! Grin
