Not a bad run out, quite impressed with George Craddock, Lewis Wilson I think is trying to hard, lost the ball to easily, snap shots but put himself about, being close up to the players you hear the communication and Guttridge really does run the show, doubt if he even got out of second gear, again like the Corby game Langmead and Charles on a couple of occasions were found wanting with the ball going over the top of them.
I felt a bit for Turnball at every throw in he asked for the ball but was ignored.
A fairly good turn out from our fans, sausages and burgers on a barbecue and a very good bar, for a small club quite impressed with the set up.

Do you know what "Nemesis" means?
A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent personified in this case by a sex starved voyeur that is Tyro.

I was quite impressed with him. Some fantastic long distribution passes especially the one to the wing for Hoganson to bring down with his left foot and fire into the roof of the net with his right.

Turnbull looked a class act last pre season also, maybe give him a chance in the squad for the opening few weeks of the season.

Hoganson was the star man for me last night. Very impressed with his attitude and willingness to run at his opposite number.
I was also impressed by Jake Robinson. He looks as though he may have turned a corner to me. He seemed to have a lot more confidence on the ball and a few of his passes into Bayo and others from that right hand side were really good.
For me, Wilson isn't good enough to cut it at League 2 level. He had some early chances which he should have been more clinical with but as the game drew on he went out of the game. He may have been trying too hard as Tyro suggested but I'm not so sure about him.
Turnball didn't seem to do anything to me. I know we all can seem to be watching a different match at times but the game seemed to pass him by. When Gutts, Tozer and Hackett came on, the midfield was far better. I would definitely persist with Hornby though. He was very good on the ball and created the majority of our chances in the first half.
Overall I'm very pleased with what I saw last night but I won't be getting carried away.
Oh and it it looks like Bayo has lost that 3rd stone too
