Nene..as in Ben Nene as in Jean...? Historical origins usually can be put down to typo fcuk ups several hundred years ago on maps..where there was little or no standardisation. For example in Oxford, many claim the river Cherwell should be pronounced /charwell...on the 17th century maps in the Bodleian Library..one map has the river on the Northants/Banbury border as Cherwell...further down into Oxford..Charwell.. ..So basically.. 17th century careless dimlos have instigated such ambiguities... no copyrights on which is right or wrong available!

This has got to be proof that he wears socks with his sandals. I bet he's also got a deerstalker hat with badges on and a tee shirt with the name of his favourite brewery. Mind you, Oxford based, knowledgable about all sorts of historical things, could be a mad professor, one of those Don things. No way an Ultra though.
