Steve Evans sounds a lot like Gary Johnson
He did just lose at Sixfields

I went onto the Rotherham forum and most of there fans agreed that we deserved the points and that it was quite an even game with both teams having spells of decent possession. They said they were lucky not to go in a t half time 2-3 goals down and they felt they had the better of the play in the second half. They also reckon that losing to us isn't that bad as we will be in the Top 7 and that we will be a tough team to beat this year. At least some fans can see sense instead of that fat T***!

I rarely dislike anyone as life is too short, however, there appears to be a lot to dislike about this guy (Steve Evans)
I hope we rob (his word) him at their ground too, now that would be sweet.

To be fair, if you combined AB and FatE's reports you get somewhere near a true reflection of the game, which I suppose is what you would expect from either manager. The game could have gone either way and for once we struck lucky, although we could claim Nicholl's coolness in front of goal deserved the win. It's interesting that Rotherham were more calmer and assured on the ball than us which is completely at odds with the constant histrionics from Rayner and Evans throughout the game. Their training sessions must be an emotional nightmare.

The man is a **** - but I thought we were a touch lucky- but you need a little luck to do well, and maybe it is our turn.

The only thing that amazes me about Mr Evans is his ability to get a reaction - his behaviour is absolutely consistent at each of the senior clubs he has managed - all clubs have special arrangements around the tunnel area because of this behaviour - Grimsby actually went one better and had him ejected from the ground by the police during the game. I believe his deliberate game plan is to get a rise from everyone and of course to try to influence less experienced/able lower division officials. As well as the managerial antics there are also the financial disasters - hopefully Crawley lost him before he did a Boston on them. He has also precided over some strange scorelines. I believe his brother tags along as chief scout for most appointments and his faithfull but talentless number 2 who goes everywhere with him as the resident "yes" man.
Like most sensible observers have said we were on the balance of play a little fortunate to take all 3 points but we did and his lack of grace spoke volumes for the man - as if we did not already know.
Oh the beautiful game - best Tuesday night for months

Evans is an absolute tosser. We have beaten his sides many times in the past and he never ever has the grace to accept defeat. He is a sore loser and should never be allowed in the game after his dodgy dealings in the past.
Ok, Rotherham were probably a little unlucky to lose last night but they were given pretty much every decision but that useless ref Kettle. Every time we went forward in the second half they were awarded a soft free kick. Their keeper took an age over every goal kick and free kick he took. The three yellow cards issued to our players were extremely soft too. Evans, I doubt you were robbed.

Good stuff. My boss is a Port Vale fan and Evans was up to his usual antics up there on Saturday. Obviously got loads of stick from the Vale fans particularly as they hit SIX pas Rovrum. Ha ha

So Alan Pardew push a linesman & gets a 2 game touchline ban & a fine but a manager from a lower league gets a stadium ban, not saying that Evens should'nt be punished but whats good for 1 should be good for the other

Good point but im sure the FA think he's a fat gobby sh1te as well and want to make an example of him. Hilarious. I would have loved to have been the person to tell him.
