Mad game where we were completely and utterly outplayed at times. Come the end of the season I'm sure we'll look back on it as a point gained.

Sorry NTFC Nut but edited just a little of yr message! Wink But for Lee Nichols we would have lost that one. We were pretty dismal in the first half with pretty dismal defending. Jonners made a big difference when he came on as did Roofe. Hacket and Desdemona were dismal as well. Burton were quite good at times poor old Zola was hammered(just about fairly) by Williamson and that was the end of him(Zola). We did improve a lot second half mainly due to Tozer and Gutteridge getting a grip on the game. We lacked class and purpose in midfield for 60mins of the game. The Cobblers support was magnificent behind the goal 2nd half - really made the Cobblers play a bit. But as always Lee Nichols ensured we got a point.
By the way anybody know who the very large man(wearing specs) sitting about halfway in Cobblers seating area and near to the front. He was giving huge and very loud lectures to the performance going on in front of him during first half.

Interesting game, ghastly first half from us then an amazing fightback in the second. Cracking support from Cobblers fans.

Hmm. Long way to go yet.
In terms of defence, no comparison, not even close, never will be.

Awful first half where we were very disjointed. Burton were getting in behind us with ease and but for some woeful finishing and some great saves by Lee Nicholls they should have been out of sight. Once we kicked into gear for the final half hour we had a quality game, Langmead and Artell made up for poor defending with a goal apiece before Alex Nicholls scored a cracking goal to secure a point very much gained.

From where i was stood it looked like Kemar's shot in stoppage time was looping in to the corner to make it 4-3, but alas landed just wide. That would've been some moment.

And let's not forget their two that hit the woodwork - we could have easily gone home with nothing!

yes but they did score one of their goals from the follow up of one of those that hit the post. So technically they were only unlucky on the one occasion!

Cobblers' contingent looked impressive on the FLS...even almost 1980s Gallowgate End passion when scoring! Anyone know if official figure given? Remember our 1st season there, officially given as 767, though looked well on a 1000!

Anyone who got a prog yesterday, are away atts recorded?

I have never ended up on the floor in a massive pile-on at a football game before. Happened twice yesterday, after both equalisers. Grin Grin Grin

if only we could recreate that atmosphere at home with the 'real' fans in a specific area of Sixfields.

And I was in bloody hospital! In Oxford! It was almost worth it though to hear the deep, deep despair of their fans comments on Radio Oxford!

Nightmare for me trying to follow the score via television, The Press Association's vidiprinter broke down at half time and it had Jeff Stelling only updating games higher up the leagues Angry

It was a nightmare... Jeff Stelling did mention that Burton went 3-2 up but no mention of Nicholls goal to make it 3-3
