 With the extent of the injuries currently how much priority should we give this game? Extra revenue and glimmer of a possible final? Bread & butter league points required so should this be an opportunity somewhat enforced to blood additional fringe and yoof players that featured in preseason like Wilson & Hornby? Attendance may be lower than most years however sometimes these are good open games.

I think someone should just take this city of Peterborough and just... just flush it down the f***in' toilet

I think AB should use it as a chance to rest key players - Bayo, A.Nicholls, Hackett - and experiment with some youngsters. We can't afford any more injuries, and it's not worth risking it for a pretty pointless competition.

Might be a good chance to test Higgs in goal and give a run out to Platt.

Six of the side who start have to have started the last game or start the next game. Or something like that!

Does that include Charles if he isn't banned for this one?

Yea, but who else do we have that we could honestly play? We have so many injuries that the team will probably have only a couple of changes from rovers. Its not like the last round where we cud draft in some inexperienced albeit out of favour players like Turnbull and jakey. We don't want to get a pasting by playing some youth teamers as confidence is clearly slipping week by week. I'm sure Platt will start bit after that...who knows?

I suggest a realistic team for tomorrow could be;

Higgs

Hackett, Langmead, Artell, Widdowson,

Demontagnac, Moult, Man City loan, Roofe,

Platt, Mukendi.

Subs;

Snedker, Tozer, Hornby, Robinson, Wilson & Nicholls.

Was that meant to be ironic?

My suggestion for a realistic team for tomorrow would be:-
Anyone able to walk from the dressing room to the pitch.

Fine, except that Platt, although listed as a sub on Saturday, clearly wasn't there so is perhaps also still not fit.

No way.  Its years since I've been to Wembley and that was the old one.  I'm looking forward to it.

I wonder if we could see a crowd of less than 1,000 for this game. Can't see Col U bringing 100 fans with them.

Given the selection criteria I can't see how we can possibly rest anyone. Maybe I'll relent, but the thought of spending £10 on this match isn't too appealing given that I have just managed to split open my oil sump on a raised kerb!
