i have just read your postings about todays game, yes we may have scored in the 95th min, but was totally justified, as for you saying the ref cost you the game, i would say it was the other way round. your blatent time wasting was awful, how long does it take a player to walk off after being subbed? not just once but all of your subs and timewasting by your keeper. dont criticise the ref from your pc. as for our goal i am sure the ref was going to blow for time but as we had the attack he allowed play to continue when the our first shot was blocked i thought he was going to blow but didnt: good atmosphere with the shots singing to the end and 390 cobblers, a point not really good enough for both sides.

Mate, the ones who complain about 95th minute goal weren't complaining when we equalised after 7 minutes of extra time against Reading. They have short memories It's just bitterness since we seemed like we had our first win in the bag. All teams waste time when they're trying to hang on to a lead. Sounded like the atmosphere picked up a lot in the second half and we took a lot more than I expected. Your lot seem to be our bogey team in this division, it sounded like a fairly even game on the radio though I wasn't there so can't comment on whether either team dominated or not. Good luck for the season anyway (except when you come to Sixfields)

I'm pretty sure every team would time waste if given the chance. The thing is there is no consistency from referees, some let it go but others don't. But as you said, we scored against Reading way past the allotted time, so we can't complain.

I love it when people post so soon after being so upset by the outcome of the game.

I never do that! (About a minute after the goal I said to my Mrs that I hoped that the ref would have a bad car accident on his way home - I obviously didnt mean it!!)

I didn't hear the game on radio or go, but I had the BBC text commentary on, when I saw that we were 1-0 up I was shocked that Aldershot had 8 shots on target compared to our 3, and 7 off compared to our 2. Obviously shots don't tell the whole story, but it looked like we were under a lot of pressure and I was just hoping we could hang on - we couldn't.
This was the problem we had when we got relegated from League 1, I think we conceded a late goal and dropped points about 10 times in that season, so this is worrying.

Actually I was really happy to see us doing the time wasting thing today - god knows I've seen it a zillion times at Sixfields when teams are 1-0 up...

Obviously shots don't tell the whole story... I'm really surprised by these stats and no, they don't tell the whole story. We pretty much dominated the 1st half and it's a shame we didn't get a second goal. Aldershot re-arranged after the break and put more pressure on, but still couldn't really have complained if they'd lost - we defended well, which is part of the game, but there are no stats for that. I know this will sound like a whinge, but I really can't remember when I was last at a game that finished at 4.56pm. OK - four added second half minutes, that would mean the second half started at 4.07pm. 2 added first half minutes - that would mean a 20 minute half time, which isn't what happened - struggling with the maths, me!
