I think half the trouble is that with Steele, Jansson, Fielding and even Bunn before him. We have been spoilt by having some very, very good goalkeepers play for us in the last couple of seasons. Dunn has potential but at the moment he isn't as good as any of the 4 names i have just mentioned...

Am I the only one who thought that one performance aside, Jansson wasn't all that?
Personally I'd rather have Dunn between the sticks.

Me too. Jansen's kicking was worse than Dunny's ever was.

Jansson is on Tottenham Hotspurs books, Dunn is on Northampton Towns. Of course Dunn is the better keeper.

There was a time not so long ago when Rodgers was on Arsenal's books, and Crowe was on Northampton's.

I agree here Jansson was a bit like young schmeichel who visited the hallowed turf last season and he was s***e. Cant stand the modern day technique of kicking the ball sideways as 9 times out of 10 they slice it and it goes into touch. Dunny for me anyday.

How daft a comparison is that? Rodgers was a young kid and as such took on as he obviously showed promise. They take dozens on each year as do most of the top flight clubs, they don't expect many to make the grade. Crowe was a much older established player. Jeez, can't you do better than that?

The point I'm making is Jansson is a good young keeper who has been picked up by Premiership Tottenham, whilst Dunn is a good young keeper picked up by Northampton. You work it out.

Can you two not meet up tomorrow and have a brawl on Stanley Park? Could be some good pre match entertainment!

Seems to me, Dunn has lapses in confidence which is something that could hold him back, and thus will he ever show his full potential consistently enough? Jansson on the other hand just needs to play, something that he won't get at Tottenham, will he have gone on to better things than Dunn at the same age?, who knows. I get the impression Jansson has been overly glorified in his short time here and is no better than Dunn. Dunn is our keeper, Jansson no longer concerns us.

Fair play to Dunn tonight, he put in a very assured confident performance. He did not have the need to make many saves, but he commanded his box in a style we have not seen since he has returned from injury. Well done Dunny !!
