YOU WILL NOT PROGRESS WITH A TEAM OF LOANEES.
Might be wrong but I thought we only had 2 loan players starting, Huws signed because of an injury crises and Roofe playing because Demontagnac (our own player) isn't very good.

My mistake Nicholls too, for me our current best player this season

Incredible that we couldn't even manage a single shot the entire second half against the worst side in the division that have let in 11 goals in the last 5 games alone.
I love it when people use selective stats. They only let in one goal in the two games before that five so we should be grateful to have got a corner (did we get one?)

I can see it others can't. We get in cheap youth loans We have a paper thin squad of Northampton players. We will get a few dickings and will win enough to stay up. We can't go up as we haven't got 11 players contacted as Northampton players who are good enough and we cannot purchase the quality to improve long term. That was surely obvious weeks ago. If we stay up I'm happy. I used to hope for promotion but looking at the way the team is now structured I'm happy to stave off relegation. Nothing has changed this season and nothing will change. DC will keep us up. He is unable financially to get us promoted. That has been my opinion for five years and I dare say it will be in a further five.

Easy to forgive Rotherham failing to score against Barnet when they went down to 10 men and still managed to come away with a point. We don't have that excuse at our disposal, I'm afraid. It was just a shockingly bad performance from start to finish, and that lack of any efforts whatsoever in the second half backs that up completely. Can't wait to read what Boothroyd's got to say about this one.

As for players such as lee nicholls. They are absolutely of no long term benefit to Northampton town football club. He is a very good player and will be a premiership player for Wigan who will reap the benefits. He is a short term fix for us. I'd rather put our young goalkeeper in the team. I'd have Hornby over roofe for the same reasons. Play our own players who may make the grade with a bit of experience. Put eleven Northampton town players in the team and get rid of the loans. I'm sure we'd take a few dickings and win a few too. Bare in mind we've just been dicked 4-0 by the bottom club despite having all these short term fixes. If we need to play inexperienced goalies wingers midfielders at least let's give our own lads the chance.

An embarassing, pathetic, spineless second half performance where me made an awful Barnet team look like Ajax. Over 770 Cobblers fans turned up, some not making it until over half an hour in to the game and that is how we were repaid. We can not get away with a midfield of kids no matter how good they are. Platt was a waste of space and once Hackett went off they detroyed us down the right.
Majorly p****d off and the whole weekend to think about

We can try and play this down as much as we want, but this is an absolutely disgraceful result. Yes we have injuries, but Barnet have been nothing short of pathetic this season, an absolute shambles. DC needs to put his hand in his pocket, using some of the MJ money

Maybe now the ridiculous AB hype fans will shut up. We have regressed since Sammo, not progressed.

After years of boredom, despair, resignation and misery, this is unbound joy.

Haha! Brilliant. Chris Dunn was busy as an unused sub for both sides. Thanks for spotting that.

The only consolation is that I couldn't make the game due to working late. It really is an absolute embarrassment of a result. Barnet should have been well and truly hammered ... completely agree that some investment is much needed in this team.

Some investment has been needed for a long time but isn't forthcoming. Does anyone have any reason to think the board will invest. In a nutshell in the last couple of weeks Barnet who survive on lower gates than us have made the permanent signings of Collins John and Edgar davids to add quality and momentum to their season. Northampton have signed mukendi east roofe and huws none of which I'd ever heard of and none had experience. I don't suspect for a minute Collins John and Edgar David's cost less than our youth players!!! Result 4-0 to Barnet. How I eagerly await our next low profile signing
