It's like when people go oooh look Carlisle had 600 down at Orient for a Tuesday night match. Yeah maybe so, but I bet about 500 of them live within about 40 miles

Is there a reason for this game being on a Friday night?

They're embarrased by their shed of a ground and would rather it was dark so you can't really see it properly? Tongue

I´m sure that every club in the country got quite a lot of fans living in London, it´s just a matter of getting them to attend games

Plymouth more than most because there is very little work available in Cornwall and west Devon. They have always had big away followings in the SE. I imagine we might take 500 there on Friday night.

Always find it a tad irritating when 'smaller' clubs, i.e. Blackpool, Hull et-al suddenly get a 'London Branch' flag once hitting the big time!

Regarding Plymouth's London fanbase...clubs further afield are always going to have that 'exile' affinity attached to their support. Carlisle also, understandably, get a fair percentage of their away support from the capital area when travelling south. Less likely I'd imagine, to see a 'Stevenage London Branch' flag away!  Grin

He's 39 and has played about 30 games since 2007. I wouldn't be bothered if he played against us.

Ref their improved attendance yesterday....there were of course no Prem or Championship games, hence no competition really for their fans money! Even Brentford and Orient in League 1 were away. AFC Wimbledon were at home to Cheltenham and pulled in their highest gate of the season, and just over 1000 up on their previous home game.

I think Barnet on a Friday can only be for the same reason, to maximise the potential support, what with Tottenham at home to Chelsea on the Saturday.

This is no ordinary 39 year old, it's Edgar Davids, the bloke with the dreads and the goggles. I don't think we should be allowed to beat him, it doesn't feel right. Sorry but we simply aren't cool enough.
