I see that they appear to have finished putting the fence up along the A45 by Wootton. I do understand that something should have been done due to the unfortunate death of 13 year old Sophie last year but I dont understand why the fence has gates at various points. There are now signs warning drivers of pedestrians crossing. Surely, this doesn't mean that the gates can be opened by people to allow them the cross the road? Also, is it just me or does the fence look like it has been put up in a rush and look very untidy?
Yeh i see those signs today - surely putting signs up saying beware pedrestians crossing is condoning the fact that it is safe to cross - which is clearly the opposite.
