I kept seeing Pete Norton turn around with his long lens back into the crowd & wondered who he was taking photos of,  had heard a whisper that Roy Hodgson was in the crowd but the Steve Howard rumour is more believable Huh?

So Howard was at Sixfields on Saturday, then came on as a sub for Leicester in the 81st minute?

Not inconceivable...Leicester had a 12:30 kick off.

Kicking his heels in Lesters reserve team?
He has played every game this season in some capacity.

I find it hard to believe he'd be coming here. but clearly all isn't well:

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11712_6369246,00.html

As for his wages, he was apparently on 40 grand a week at Derby!  He may have taken cuts since, but...the Cobblers??

It won't happen. Not in a cats chance.

Some of the names people have linked us with since this Liverpool draw are hilarious. Howard? Aliadiere?

Some have been hilarious, but Aliadere hasn't kicked a football in anger this season, has been without a club since June and his knee is bollocksed.  Sounds like just the sort of player we'd sign...you're right a frigging joke of a signing.  As for Howard, that's more of a stretch because of his wages.  But he's hardly set the Championship alight for the last two years, 7 goals (some of which were penalties) in 46 games since the start of last season.   No pace, 34 years old...sounds like Guinan.

Don't forget our very own Peter Walton.  Wink

Just on Steve Howard, laughable...he's way above League Two level, he's a right handful in the championship and a grafter at that, don't doubt for a second he could get another club at that level, and i'd imagine he'd have a queue of interested clubs waiting should he ever move on from Leicester. Oh and even if Aliadiere was confined to a wheelchair, he still wouldnt sign for us, christ almighty! get in the real world!

No, the leaf was on its way down but got a call and was advised no longer needed so frantically fought against gravity and managed to land on a tree of the same quality.
