There is no shame for Wigan as they lost to a bigger club That made my chuckle this morning..cheers. The Wigan fans were not very gracious in defeat actually, especially the ones stoning our coaches after the match.

Perhaps Bradford should hand out vouchers for their Arsenal game to those who attend Sixfields on Saturday. Might encourage a few more to attend and boost both clubs coffers

I remember us going to Springfield Park and ending their play-off hopes. What there was of them were a little agitated . I suppose with a hard core support of 2000, they felt isolated and threatened . I think it was Marquis (maybe not??) that once said to me that they have more hooligans than actual fans, I think he was right. I suppose all clubs have their share of hooligans. Unfortunately if you travelled to the last game of the season a couple of years ago at Valley Parade, you will have witnessed some of our idiots trying to goad your wonderful supporters after the game. I say wonderful supporters sincerely, as that afternoon your fans were fantastic and paid their respects on the anniversary of our fire tragedy with terrific dignity. I remember them raising some money between them for the Burns Unit in Bradford before the match. For your fans to be then treated in such a manner was a disgrace. If you were there that day, you will know that the other 11000 or so Bradford fans showed their disgust with them very vocally. Happily, most of the cretins that day were identified and banned from Valley Parade for life, and I believe a few of them, with previous, were in fact sent down I have had a soft spot for The Cobblers since that day, and indeed keep in touch with CobblersBob, who lives up here. Good luck for the rest of the season, after Saturday of course.

Real shame that day as a lot of us had bought the special 'T' shirt to help raise money for the burns unit. I think most of them ended up being thrown back onto the pitch at the idiots who were throwing water bottles etc. at us.
Shame as it was quite a nice 'Claret' T shirt.
Good luck against the Arsenal though. Should be a big payday for you.

According to the Bradford forum, Mark Clattenburg is in charge of our game on Saturday

Nice sentiments, Idlebantam. Thank goodness there is still some goodwill between decent fans from different clubs. Has the game sold out yet? Tickets not available online when i checked...

If we have a good cup run, would it not be a nice move for the board to hand a chunk of the money we make to Alex Nicholls and his family after the way he went for that goal? He went for it when a lot of players would not have done. How about it all?

Think you will find that the players get very looked after and get a fantastic deal compared to what most admin staff get at football clubs
Any cup run money should go into infrastructure IMHO
As DC said we are over our player budget AGAIN.

Been confirmed today that another of Bradford's first choice defenders has been ruled out long term. Andrew Davies out for up to 4 months. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20171196Also, Nakhi Wells was substituted as a precaution on Tuesday, and may not be risked for Saturday's game.

It was a bad injury but lets not forget that these things happen in football, in a job that is a privelage. As said above they are more than looked after, more than any of us would be in our jobs. If soldiers or nurses do not get big wads of money for showing their courage and commitment daily then what makes his case special? He gets paid well, plays football, scored a goal and got a bad injury. No disrespect to the lad, and of course it was a terrible injury in which we all hope he recovers soon from, but he didn't do anything heroic.
I take your point, it was just an idea that I thought would be more supported.

Nice bloke, Bob, just watch out that he doesn't try to lend you any money! Thanks a bunch Bingers - I was just about to lend Idle Bantam a short term loan and then redevelop Sixfields with the interest. But now you have forced him to go to Geordie land and borrow some from 'orrible Ashley. UTC!

Oddly, despite what went on that day my respect for Bradford actually went up a lot afterwards, because the way your club, and fans, dealt with those responsible was absolutely top notch. Oh, and Aidy's a Bantam as well. Wish you all the best after Saturday, would much rather see Bradford go up this season than w*nk clubs with w*nk supporters like Fleetwood or Vale.

Aidy is indeed a Bantam. He was at Valley Parade in the ill-fated stand on that awful day back in May 1985, as a kid with his family. I understand some of his family are still regulars at VP. Back to tomorrow's game. With both clubs suffering from a string of injuries, it will be more or less a reserve fixture it would seem!. I think you will win this one 2-0.

This used to be the one day of the season I really looked forward to. You knew the ground would have a buzz about it and a decent attendance. You dreamt of making the 3rd round and a money spinning tie. The adrenalin would be pumping and you'd just hope you were in the bag for the draw the following day
Such a shame that I sit here this morning and really can't be arsed about it. I'll be there this afternoon but more through blind loyalty that desire. I'll be pleased if we win but the whole passion has really gone.
Yes, we know where the blame lies. We can point the finger at a certain big team who started the ball rolling by dropping out a few years back. I was lucky enough last year to be on a Budweiser advert lifting the FA Cup - a lifetime ambition achieved. It's a shame that the younger generation will never experience the real magic of the FA Cup
