Credit where it's due: there are some good offers and the club have clearly tried to be inventive with the various discounts and deals. Criticism: they haven't listened to the constructive criticism of last year and have once again placed the deadline for the £199 season ticket before most people's first post-Xmas pay day. I still don't think the savings for buying a season ticket (away from the North stand) are sufficient, 4 league games isn't a lot to miss across a 23 game season and I think it's time the club started to include cup matches with the season ticket. Attendances for cup games are a clear indication that even STHs aren't happy about stumping up the extra cash.

I will not be renewing my season ticket for next season. I will pick and choose a few home and a few away games instead. The days of shelling out a one off sum months in advance without knowing exactly what I'm getting are over. It's a good deal if your going to renew whatever the situation but I've done it for many years and I've got to the stage where I no longer wish to attend every game as sometimes I find it no longer enjoyable. That said if I attend roughly ten games next season the club will still get about £250 from me so their no worse off.

How would the club calculate the away side's share of the gate for cup games in those circumstances ?

Like Mackem says there are a number of club who include cup games in their season tickets so there must be an agreed formula, plus NTFC are willing to flog a £50 bolt on which would entail them having to answer the question you pose.

Have said before i think it's way too early to ask fans to think about re-newing their season tickets before xmas, but since the club has gone down this root and arrived at this time scale they can't really go back can they? However i do think even less supporters will take up the offer this year and honestly believe if the renewal date returned to say may, as many as a fifth more season tickets could well be sold .If people are feeling the pinch ,they are only thinking about affording xmas and in some cases are still paying for it well into the new year,so although they would dearly love to renew ,just simply can't afford too!

Yes mate and my west stand car parking pass, probably pay for my Grandad again as he's 89 you know. Not bad for a bloke who has to do a 100 mile round trip for home games ........ but its what i CHOOSE to do so cant really complain or expect a medal.

Love how every year the STs come up for sale and people complain about this that and the other, fact is you know the deadlines you know the prices and you have a fairly good idea what product will be on offer. After that all you need to do is decide if you want a ST if your going to take advantage of the discounts or if you simply won't bother. Simples.

I think that this year we appear to have a good chance of being not far off being safe in League 2 before the end of the discount period.Last season ,in January the odds were that we would be watching Conference football this season , which must have put off a few customers.

I agree that despite now being mid-Jan rather than the end of Dec like last season, the £199 offer is tight deadline-wise. It does represent outstanding value for money though.
On the contrary, surely by releasing s/t prices and discount period timescales this early, NTFC are giving the overwhelming majority of our season ticket holders the opportunity to budget for a renewal before 29th March, 3 months away tomorrow. That might be too much of an outbreak of positivity for some though.
Also by releasing tickets for sale before Xmas, the club are benefitting from sales to those who may be gifting them for Christmas, which however small they wouldn't get in any other month.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the overall deadline hasn't moved from the end of March in many seasons.
Just because they go on sale on Monday, nobody is forcing anyone to buy a season ticket either then or on 29th March. It just means the club can get the cashflow over a longer period.
You never know, some revenue from £199 season tickets might come in handy in the January window.
Why is it that whatever the club do, people seem to pick holes in it?

The deadline moved to 31 March last year. Prior to that it was mid April, although this was usually extended after the deadline passed. Last year was the first year I can remember that they did not extend the deadline.

I paid by instalments for this seasons season ticket and would like to do the same again. However, when I went to the Zebra finance website NTFC was not one of the available season tickets on the drop down menu

I'll tell you exactly what you'll get - 23 games of League Two football against the likes of Port Vale, Burton and Oxford. If you want the cup add on you'll get around 4/5 extra matches. A long shot I know but I think I might be there or thereabouts.
