Then again he may just be having a dip in form but don't let that get in the way of a good conspiracy. He will be banging them in again soon and we need him (and a few others) back firing on all cylinders. It's one defeat and a shot at promotion is clearly up for grabs in this wide open league. It may be better to come really into the running over the last 5 to 10 games.

He's been pretty woeful over the last few games, certainly by his high standards. That is generally Bayo though isn't it, s*** hot for a month, f***ing awful for a month, s*** hot for a month...etc etc. He has looked over the last few games as if his mind is elsewhere though..

Yes , trying to guess which part of the pitch Platt is in. For me they just dont work as a partnership.

He's on 5k a week at Chesterfield or something like that, allegedly.
Of course he is. The administrators obviously thought that vale were a championship team when they dished out that contract. Oooops. Wish people would forget about marc Richards coming back. Never going to happen. Also the criticism aimed at bayo for not scoring in the last few games is laughable. We'll be singing the big mans name in our next game when he is in on the scoresheet again. He wont have been taped up. The guy has always given his all. He is entitled the odd off game and we have to remember that we must be fairly easy for oposition to learn where are strengths are and his presence is vilified somewhat. The opposition will say pre game, don't give away cheap throw ins and put 2 players on that big f***er up front. Simples.

It was the Gills, and it involved a player coming our way in exchange

Terrible first half tonight, surprised he wasn't subbed at HT, different player second though

People on here said if Bayo left in the transfer window we could forget about promotion. He stayed and imo has done very little since. He has scored 2 Penalties (which most other players would've put away anyway). Will we really miss him next season? Because lets face it, he will sign for someone else in the summer when he is out of contract!

To be honest I thought he started to improve when Platt came on. For all Platts criticism on this site, he really did make a difference when he came on last night

Agreed, a delightful chest, hold and lay off for RO'D to run on for the penalty. You wouldn't want to get clattered by Neil Sullivan too many times!

Well we'll have a 17-20 goal hole to fill, which is never that easy. He's definitely a bit off-form at the moment, but strikers go through peaks and troughs during a season and I'm sure he'll bang a few more in before the season's out. Personally, though, I would play Platt and O'Donnovan up front on current form, and let Bayo force his way back into the side.

Whether hackett and bayo find their early season form or not towards the end of the season will be a deciding factor on what division we are in next year
