I didn't realise he was returning. He just tweeted that he is on his way back to teyn. Lets hope he finds better times ahead like Jake Robinson has....

Think if Aidy can get shot of Turnbull and Robinson in January , he will. Paul has never figured in his plans and the only reason Jake has been in the squad is the absence of Alex Nicholls. In any event they will both be gone in the summer.

Think Robinson has proved he can add value to the squad, but can't see Turnball staying past January,to be fair he has been very professional, but even without the emergence of Lewis Hornby don't think he is part of Boothroyds plans.

I STILL think Turnbull is adequate enough for this level. Nevertheless it's clear AB has made his mind up, so I expect he shall be off to Stockport permanently in January.

I agree. The guy has 200 league appearance and therefore has experience. He's still young enough to improve as a player under the right guidance. I see no reason, considering he's contracted until the end of the season, to keep him and use him as where aidy feels appropriate. Lets assume he was signed on a gj contract of between £800-£1000 a week. I doubt, considering stockports recent finacial problems they will be contributing anymore than £200 a week of that so we may as well utilise him till May and judge his performances by the end of the season.

He probably WAS well capable at this level but unfortunately he is one of the players whose confidence was totally fecked up by dear old Mr Johnson's (mis) management here

No doubt. But lets think of who we could get in to replace him on the salary Stockport are paying us for him to be on loan. For a £100 or so quid a week im sure we would only be able to pull in another mukendi! Why not let him try and prove he is worthy of the contract he's on.

So what? Football managers aren't devine beings who get it right every time, I'd have thought GJ would have been proof of that! He thought Chris Arthur was good enough for the football league when it was clear he wasn't! It's all relative. My opinion is he's adequate at this level and nothing will change that.

The fact that there is nothing on the website to indicate Turnbull is back would suggest that he's probably not going to feature.

Unless we can get shot of him, we might as well have him in the squad. As far as I'm aware he's never complained about his squad status and just got on with it like a professional, which is an attribute AB said he liked in players. Robinson on the other hand had a strop on twitter after the MK Game (or whenever it was) and yet has been welcomed back into the fold. Turnbull isn't exactly Guttridge but I'd rather have him on the bench than another Mukendi (who has thankfully been returned to Liverpool).

Quite agreee. Keep Turnbull unless Stockport want him. Replace Robinson , he was blowing hard after 10 minutes against Daggers. Is he fit ? He is lightweight as well. Any decent challenge and he loses the ball.

Did you not notice how much weight Turnbull has gained while away - looked twice the man when he was warming up against Dag.

Still want shot of him? We'd be very short up front if he went, with Nicholls out for the season has a crucial role to play between now and the summer IMO.
