Goodness me. As a mere 20 games or so a season supporter (and a rare poster) I find reading through these "discussions" fascinating. Often when I go to a game I wonder if I'm sitting/standing next to the mighty Marquis or SaturdayBanana or Insider or terryfenwicketc or even the infamous Manwork. And I'll never know or nor will you know me, which is why I (and I think others) find this site entertaining and a useful release after watching a fantastic win or utter dross.

I'm Northampton born and bred. Only ever supported the Cobblers. Can barely watch a football game without the Cobblers in it because I just find it bland and have no connection to Chelsea / Man U / Arsenal / Liverpool blah blah blah. Maybe I'm simply a fan of the town I grew up in, rather than a football fan? Perhaps.

Some clubs from towns and cities like ours are lucky, some are unlucky, some are managed well, some are managed badly, some are run well.... etc. You get my drift. But I personally just want the following in the next 30 years or so that I'm hopefully alive:

1) We never go bust
2) We never get beat by more than 7 goals
3) We get the odd cup run to play some big clubs and get on telly
4) We get a push one day and play in the Championship
5) We continue to provide a service to local disabled and severely unwell people who love their visits to the East Stand.

That might appear unambitious but this is probably the most I can hope for.

Also, whilst I'm at it:

1) I hate the atmosphere at Sixfields, but no, I won't sing cause I feel like a tw*t
2) I am going to Liverpool and took 3 days off work to do so
3) Shouldn't we go to a game to support the team, not slag them off? Steve Guinan doesn't pick himself. And the abuse that Chris Dunn got from one particular Cobblers fan at last seasons Burton game was frankly disgusting.
4) Sammo is clearly struggling and under a massive amount of pressure.
5) I will go to more games if we start winning. Fact. And plenty agree with me.

Thanks for reading and I'll probably make a one word post in a few months.

Any guesses on how the two teams will line up then?
Hoping for a few of their big names to make an appearance.

I suspect trying to guess the Liverpool team is impossible, who knows what side they will put out.

Hodgson made alot of changes whenever Fulham were in the cups didn't he?

The Fulham team v Man City in Carling Cup last year....

12 David Stockdale (G)
6 Chris Baird (D)
2 Stephen Kelly (D)
22 Fredrik Stoor (D)
26 Chris Smalling (D)
27 Jonathan Greening (M)
29 Simon Davies (M)
7 Seol Ki-Hyeon (M)
17 Bjorn Helge Riise (M)
11 Zoltan Gera (M)
21 Eddie Johnson
