Looking at their forum, they want it to go ahead so their star striker Danny Hylton can play in the cup as this is the third and final game of his ban!

They are even talking about clearing the pitch.  If it goes ahead this will be a huge game for us.

They are even suggesting that Hylton himself should get down there and help clear the pitch.

What surprised me is they are struggling to fill three coaches to go to boro in the cup!

No snow here since yesterday, forecast is for snow anytime from 1700hrs tomorrow although the temperature is going down to minus 4 tonight but should be in the positives from lunchtime tomorrow.
Hopefully their undersoil heating is working..... Tongue

Can't understand why they are clearing the pitch today and not tomorrow. As our groundsman  proved last week that the layer of snow on top of the covers insulates against frost . They have a minus 4/5 forcast for tonight which could undo all the hard work.

Very mild down here in Oxford..around +5c...Aldershot very confident of game going ahead, saying the surrounding area was is fine...I was tempted to argue and say; 'actually, it's a shyte hole'!  Grin

Anyway, down on the train..there for 5pm..White Lion, followed by the Crimea before heading to the pub at the top of the hill...unless it's off of course...then it'll be a few jars in Reading!

I'm ready to go then, PLUS I have my 45 minute trip to Gills to look forward to next week. Let's hope the Cobblers are up for turning round that away form.  Smiley

Looking forward to this one as it's the nearest away game from where I now live.

Snow forecast for early afternoon / evening according to BBC weather. Can see a late postponement or maybe an abandonment

Shots muppets have taken the covers off far too early. This'll be off.

Jefferson Lake‏@JeffersonLake

Two hours until kick-off and the snow is unrelenting. It'll either be abandoned or played with an orange ball

The snow was totally predicted, I checked the map section on bbc
Site this morning and both at 6pm and 9pm it
Was totally white! Anybody who travelled should surely have known the risk!

Pitch update: 6-10pm

Referee Darren Deadman has had a further look at the pitch and remains happy that the match will be played. The snow is still falling and the referee will continue to monitor the situation.
