A very enjoyable evening in the snow and fair play to both teams and the ref for allowing to play the game.

I think we were pretty comfortably once we got to grip with the conditions after half an hour or so. An impressive performance by all of the players and hopefully it's the start of an improved run away from home.

Don't agree, I like going there. Good atmosphere in the standing area, good crack with their fans, nice walk through the 'forest.' AND we have picked up a few points from them recently. Don't think we should slag off the 'small' clubs, save that for the smart a*ses.

Yeah, c'mon chaps, Aldershot fans have been through a lot with the club going to the wall etc.

It's been really hard work for them to actually get a football club together again let alone get back in the league. I for one hope they get out of trouble even though I got arrested there once.

Now Barnet, that's a different matter!

Two thoughts on the video;

2. Why weren't you lot out on the open terrace on the side? It wasn't even that cold you big girls blouses.

Open terracing was closed due to all the snow in there

So it was too dangerous to stand on but ok to play a football match?

I'd much prefer an old open terrace over the generic prefab concrete all-seaters of the modern era.

Tuesday night just wouldn't have been the same in a new stadium.

It wasn't closed, just nobody was stupid enough to stand there! Can't understand why 20 odd Cobblers decided to sit in that (never changed in two centuries) ramshackle stand...where's your sense of community? All for one and one (hundred and forty two) for all in the terrace!  Wink

Snap on all the above there!  Cheesy

Yes, the Aldershot fans in the Crimea before the game were decent chaps..as was the one on the train going back to Sandhurst.

Feel bad for them, I was there Tuesday (with an Aldershot mate, so in the main stand with the home fans), obviously didn't reveal my true identity - they were very complimentary about us and our football and also clapped when the attendance was announced towards the away fans saying it was good for a Tuesday. Of all the clubs I have hatred towards, I find it difficult to vent it at a genuine community football club. Didn't like their previous manager, but the club have been through the thick of it with going bust and getting back into the league. Just my meandering thoughts.
