The Mighty Cobblers to really surprise everyone in the ground and score first very early on (possibly Leon getting his first goal for the club) and then very shortly afterwards, an equaliser before we get well and truely dicked and my children start crying/blaming the referee/saying they hate Stevie G etc.

This thread has just given me a tingle. Imagine if we did take the lead at our end of Anfield? That'd be class. I've just officially reached "can't wait" status. For one game and one game only can we have everyone standing and making noise? Cheers.

Really hope some of the big guns play (no, i don't mean Guinan!). Gonna be a fantastic evening whatever the score/team they put out. Gonna say 1-5 to Liverpool with us equalising in front of our fans! LET'S JUST ALL ENJOY IT AND OUT-SING THE KOP AS THESE GAMES ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN IF YOUR A COBBLER

Cobblers to win 9-0.
I say 8-2 to Liverpool. After a wretched spell, Torres comes good, scores six goals and we then have to endure endless re runs of them for year to come.......

Oh hang on a minute on second thoughts, the mighty Liverpool of the Premiership up against an average division four side, urrhmm....i'd say it's gotta be at least 65-0... I'm right in touch with the game of football, me.

I want it to be 0-0 for about half a hour --- so we can sing "You are being held by the Cobblers" lots of times ..................... and then Billy McKay scores. And ..er ... that's it. 0-1

4-4 Thornton and Torres to get 3 each, 5-4 to us after extra time, Rodgers to score in the last minute with a 35 yard screamer!

Last time we played Liverpool it was 2-2 as well with them scoring a late equaliser.

I was at that game in 1976 - and the players seem to settle for 1-1 as a suitably honourable draw for Dave Bowen. But we didn't read the script - we scored and then immediately Liverpool stepped up several gears and equalised with a goal from the late great Emlyn Hughes. I think we had over 11,000 at the County Ground - who were the Cobblers' scorers ?

I was at that game, Liverpool didn't step up a gear, we realised we'd made a terrible mistake and our defence parted at the first opportunity to allow Liverpool the equaliser. It was that game that I decided never to go to a friendly again (and I haven't).

I was stood on the Spion Kop, directly behind Emlyn Hughes's shot into the bottom right hand corner.

You are probably right ---- but sometimes (obviously in the distant past before Sammo) I can't tell if our defence parts by design or if we are just useless
