Wells Tavern is a cert..next to away end - but never been in before. Check out above links...Old Fire House and Great Western Hotel worth a try. Prospect down at the Quay, early evening...if still standing!

For those of you with a certain musical persuasion Ska/2Tone legends The Selecter are playing in Exeter Saturday night.

Football, curry and a gig. Top day all round.

Im hoping we play a 4-4-1-1 of sorts on Saturday. A Midfield of Widdowson-Gutts-Harding-Hackett with Roy just ahead and then Bayo up top would be decent i think. I really like the look of Roy, but we struggle to get the ball to his feet alot, hence play him centrally off the front man. Does anyone know when Alan Gow is due back, when he came on earlier in the season at Sixfields he looked a class act, nutmegged about 8 of our players!

Crappy home form meets crappy away form!! They've won only 5 at home but 11 away! I'd settle for a draw but i'm wary of teams who have crap records yet somehow manage to buck the trend when the Cobblers turn up!  Wink

Happy with a draw but the way it's going I think we will win 3-4 with the winner in the 93rd minute going in off Ben Tozer's ball bag.

Team news ahead of the game.

I enjoyed this comment from the gaffer.

“I’ve got that option now to 5hit one or two things around and although we have got a small squad we have got that flexibility''

I was originally supposed to be on that - but due to circumstances, had to book late and not so Great Western wanted £75 one-way..so now the 8.48 from Reading..into Exeter St. Davids at 11.09!  Shocked

Not lost to Exeter since 1984, and unbeaten at St James in the last 7. Make of that what you will.

I was at Exeter that day...first day of the season. Shouted to Pete Gleasure from the away er..terrace before the game to 'do your best mate'...we lost 5-0! Of course, I can laugh about it now!  Grin

I seem to remember going there on a Tuesday night and winning 2-1 I think, sure Grayson got a last minute winner.
