I always support the english teams in Europe. Man U were undoubtably unlucky last night, and I thought they were much the better team (maybe even after going down to 10 men). I disagree though Wolvo, I actually thought the sending off made for a better game, it was fairly uneventful until that point. I dont feel that sorry for Man U though as its not as if theyve never had the rub of the green before. I think Sir Alex made a good decision to keep quiet though as he would have undoubtable made himself look like a dick. I could understand someone being so bitter if they were always getting trodden on, but Man U certainly dont fall in to that category. I thought last night that Roy Keane's chip on his shoulder was bigger than ever, but on reflection he did make some valid points (although poorly delivered)

According to the Laws, the decision was correct under serious foul play although bearing in mind Nani had no idea of the immediate vicinity and there wasn't any intent to injure the Madrid player, a red was very harsh. It's all in the realms of interpretation and application. The ManUre players surrounding the officials and 'Rio' clapping sarcastically in the face of the Referee was disgusting. The fact that he went back to shake the officials hands should not take away from what he did previously, Rooney got a ban for doing something extremely similar not so long back.

Played his school boy football for England, sure i read it somewhere,he would`ve solved our left hand side problem that seemed to dog England for years, its not like he wouldn`t get in the team. Great footballer no disputing that.
It was thought that England didn't need him as we had Tony Daly!

Where as Sunderland supporters are always supportive of their managers Sunderland are hardly ever likely to have the problems that success brings, because they are hardly likely to have success. Every time Chelsea fart the media are on it. There are several managers in the premiership that get more stick than that tw@t Benitez, but do the media jump on it? Do they fcuk. If Chelsea officals and players had behaved the same way as Man Utd last night the media would have been calling for them to be banned from Europe. And you know it. But because they know that Bacon face won't give them access to Utd if they pi$$ him off, it's a different story.. name the managers who get as much stick then, if Chelsea fans spent as much energy supporting their team rather than abusing their current manager then The Bridge would have the atmosphere that it had back in the 80s & how Man Utd players behaved last night is no different to how Chelsea players behaved after a certain game Vs Barcelona but then i dont care about Man Utd a club who is light years ahead of Sunderland & Chelsea

I support every English team in Europe, except scums*** utd. I was glad to see them go out especially do a dodgy reffing decision, as they do seem to benefit a lot more often than not from these. I Totally agree that the players behaviour was diabolical last night and had it been anyone else the press would have been all over them rather than sucking off the manager as they are doing now. I personally feel that they have gotten away with murder over the years whilst others have been severely hounded in the press. Giggs is a great footballer, but as a person he is a piece of dog excrement on the pavements of Manchester.

The fact that 'Rio' has got away with the sarcastic clapping is unbelieveable. Respect seems to be only one way as far as football is concerned.
