We can delete this thread now. May I suggest starting one called 'what we need to score a goal'
I did a few games ago, that's now 8 goals in 12 games

Only if Exeter win both their games, Bradford take at least 4 points from their last two, and we lose our last two can we miss out on the playoffs....
Amen, we are in the playoffs so everyone stop moaning. Rest a few of the players this Saturday and start the ball rolling with Barnet again.

I think it's a case of trying to find our best team, formation & tactics first.

We have been trying to do that for 9 months. I don't think one week will effect things.

What we need now to get autos is.....
For us to win both our games (Vale away, Barnet home).....AND... For Rotherham to take no more than a point from Plymouth away and Aldershot at home...AND.... For Burton to fail to beat Bradford away and Gillingham at home...AND.... For Cheltenham to not beat both Exeter away and Bradford at home!!

We're doomed...Can't see us beating either Vale or Barnet. We'll probably get lucky as Exeter are pap right now. Not expecting much from the Playoffs but I probably would take Burton over Bradford or Chelts. What a time for the wheels to falls off.

If Exeter win their last 2 games and we only take 1 more point then Exeter will finish above on goal difference

True, and if we get a point then Bradford would need two wins also to overhaul us...

the key point now is to try and get 4th or 5th. I've just been looking at the league tables and that could be difficult / complicated. To get 5th we need Cheltenham to loose to Exeter and get no more than a point at Bradford. We then need to get 3 points at home to Barnet. This is assuming that we dont get anything at Port Vale. And that we dont get a Burton Albion type score line. I think its going to be an interesting end to the season. Albeit not the one we hoped for

I think we'll finish sixth. I also wouldn't rule Chesterfield out of finishing seventh, with both Exeter and Bradford falling away at the death. As for those calling for players to be rested? I'd say no, certainly for the Vale trip, we need to keep putting out as strong a side as possible and try to re-discover some form.
