I was on that bus and felt a tad out of place! I was sat in the middle of the top tier with the NAT sat behind me giving it all their songs (Keep St George in my heart-all the classics) and the West Stand Ultras at the front. They certainly seemed up for a good scrap

Some of you kids, would do well to learn what an "ultra" actually is. Not 1 of those chavs from the west stand fits the discription. Nor does any other "group" of plebs in the whole of the United Kingdom.

Well you might say that but it was comforting to be surrounded by a group of toughs who at looked as if they would give as good as they got. Liked the demeanour of the one in a beige jacket and black baseball cap. He strode in with all the swagger he could muster but coming out seemed determined to get at the PV fans but was stalled by 6 or 7 Police. At least they were Cobbs fans so by definition gentlemen Grin... Roll Eyes

That line of police outside made me laugh. They had created a cordon between the home and away fans leaving the ground and were stopping people getting through it but didn't make any effort to stop me walking around the side of it. Completely pointless!

What yesterday showed is that as a club we are not going to be pushed around. Was their party but we well and truly gate crashed it!

Rumour was that a Cobblers coach had its windows put through? Is this true?

When the double decker arrived I assumed it was Port Vale fans on a regular matchday service. Were the Cobbs lads on board collected by the bus at the station, presumably shepherded by the police?

We arrived on the train and were marched to a pub which was full of Cobblers, and they laid on a bus service to take us to the ground for £3 and a police escort
