Having become recognised by UEFA and entered for the qualifying stages of Euro 2016, Gibraltar drew 0-0 with Slovakia in their first ever official international match this evening... fairly remarkable considering their population is less than that of San Marino. Just thought that was worth a mention, there's an article on them here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24942820

I don't think so. Surely it is the same situation as Wales etc. They are part of the British Territories but can be recognised in their own right by a sports governing body. Gonig on what you say they could play for any of the home nations. The Faroe Islands have their own international side but are part of Denmark.

I think Saido Berinho was able to play for any of the British home nations as he was a refugee, granted a British passport so theoretically could have played for Gibraltar? If that's the case, it would give them an excellent pool to pick from.
They will be drawn with Spain in 2014.
