Didnt Mourinho say a couple of days ago, they he would like to return here, and manage a bottom half, lower standard Prem team? Should be good for a Carabao cup run.

His assistant also went out of the door with him, our former player Chris Doig.

Mark Robbins away from Coventry...

The Cov fans are know are in meltdown saying they need to get rid of the head of recruitment (Dean Austin...) and the head of sport performance before they consider touching Robbins.

Gareth Ainsworth appointed at Shrewsbury, a bit surprised at this as I thought he might wait for a better opportunity but a decent appointment for them.

Frank Lampard, sacked by Chelsea and Everton said to be in the running for the Coventry job. I don't know what the obsession is with clubs appointing people like Lampard and Rooney who don't have great records. As we know good players often don't make good managers, at least Gary Neville and Roy Keane soon jacked in their managerial careers but now we have to suffer them as pundits telling everybody else what they are doing wrong.

To be fair to Lampard he took Derby to the Championship play off final, finished 4th in the Prem and reached the FA Cup final with Chelsea. So he might be worth a chance at Coventry.
