Steve Cooper is sacked by Leicester City 12 matches into a 3 year contract. At least his bank balance will improve dramatically.

Exactly, it's not like they will be in the position to win the Premier League.

As they did once perhaps they expect to do so again.

Just like we expect to be on a meteoric rise up to the top division.

Nailed on relegation spot.
Bluenoses thought that they had hit the jackpot, when they appointed Rooney and look where that got them. Speaking of the granny-shagger, Plymouth are struggling a bit at the moment..  Grin

I'd like to see him do well. I'm surprised he didn't get the United job even if till the end of the season

Because the man that Utd wanted, was available now, and might not have been at the end of the season?

This suggests it was the other way around, that he wanted to stay in Portugal until the end of the season but the Utd board told him it's now or never?

If that is true then RVN having a caretaker role until the end of the season was never on the cards?

Possibly, but Utd need some form of stability, and they need it ASAP.  That is not the job for a caretaker man.

Tim Walter was sacked by Hull City last week after just 17 games in charge. The Tigers have today been given permission by Reading to speak to their manager Ruben Seles.

In National League news 76 year old Lennie Lawrence would appear to have been given the gig at Hartlepool until the end of the season after a spell as caretaker following the sacking of Darren Sarll (after just 15 games).

Braintree have sacked their manager Angelo Harrop for poor results and also for "failing to live within the wage/transfer budget" with reports that he was 50% over budget! Harrop led Braintree to the National League after a playoff final win in the South last season.

Jon Brady, one of the longest servers in the league has left the Cobblers. Should be on the top of numerous lower league clubs lists for their next manager. Very successful stint at the Cobblers and still learning. He would welcome a clean slate.

Ruben Seles does indeed move to Hull City, Reading acting quickly by appointing their U21 manager Noel Hunt as new first team manager on a contract until June 2027.
