When did Liverpool legend Phil Neal become a cobblers legend Did they forget the greats from the 87 team?

Do you know what "Nemesis" means?
A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent personified in this case by a sex starved voyeur that is Tyro.

Completely with you on this one. Can only assume he has fallen out with the club which is a massive shame as who knows what depths we could have sunk to without him. "Philip Chard My Lord, Philip Chard..."

Grove has it spot on, Phil Chard should be in there instead of Phil Neal.

How can you possibly put Chard on the same pedestal as Neal? Phil Neal's move to Liverpool was negotiated by our manager Bill Dodgin, who clearly saw his massive potential when some of us were sceptical. He not only went on to captain Liverpool for a long time and play brilliantly at right back for them, he did the same for England. In footballing terms he is way above any of the others...which hurts, because I had to vote for him despite having a real love for Frank Large. Frank was Cobblers through and through, but Phil was probably one of our most successful sell-ons.

John Gregory didn't do bad either, where would he fit in this list?

Exactly what i said Steve, he was a LIVERPOOL legend, NOT a Cobblers legend. Apart from playing in every position in the team including goal, he never achieved anything here. Mc Goldrick played or Arsenal, Ireland and was out of the fantastic record breaking 87 side , he never gets a mention, he did though echieve more in a town shirt than Neal.

How can a sell on who goes onto be a Liverpool legend be one of our legends? Chard played nearly a 100 more games for us than Neal, was in the legendary 87/88 team and then went on to be our manager (ok not very succesfully). Maybe I am biased as Phil Neal was a Cobbler before my time but I think Chard did more for us than Neal.

I see your point, yes; when I voted I took an overall view that involved their contribution to the game, which I took as wider than just their time here. Anyway, I've done it now!
