293,717 Bradford

212,500 Northampton

So they say.... Huh?

That population figure for Bradford is from the 2001 census !

Bradford may be a big City but Milton Keynes isn't, don't tell them that though they think it is!

Yes it's that tiny village with over 500,000 people there, making it just a bit bigger than Liverpool, or to put it another way, bigger than  Newcastle and Sunderland combined. Yep it's just a small village.
Fascinating.
I like the way that you draw comparisons with three prem teams. What division are you in?

It should be a great day out.  You will have more fans based on two simple reasons, you're 1 hour away for a 1.30 kick off and we've just been. I expect around 25,000 from Bradford.  It would have been 35,000 without the recent final.  I also think the losing side will have the resources to go up auto next year, helped by this match, so hopefully come what may it is a win/win situation. I hope it's us obviously. Two losing matches in one season at Wembley will be hard to take! Lets hope it's a great day and the best team wins, without bad luck or dodgy decisions.

I gave comps against 3 cities for comparison. What's it got to do with what division we are in? I thought you were comparing the size of the city, re comment small village.  Never said we were a prem team. You do seem a bit touchy.  Chill.  Your going to Wembley.  It's a great day out for you.  Cheap trains and 1 hour away.  Enjoy.

We understand the difficulties and costs involved in traveling to Wembley from Yorkshire as opposed to traveling from Northampton but on the plus side for you, you are massive favourites to win where as we are rank underdogs. However if football was all about the best team winning where would any of us be. You should have seen the way we played against Swansea in 97 and the way the Welsh sang their hearts out, until the 98th minute that is! For years after when meeting someone from Swansea the look of horror in their eyes as they insisted that Frain had moved the ball before he retook the free kick was pitiful but heart warming at the same time. Still as we all know look where Swansea are now and on the other hand look where Grimsby are now too.

I do hope we both sell more than 25,000 as the only time that I have been to new Wembley was to see the saints play sarries and there was around 40,000 there and the place seemed empty.

Why?
2 finals in one seaon?  I'd remortgage my house to go if i couldn't afford it.
I can only imagine cash converters is doing fantastic trade ins in Bradford and household insurance is skyrocketting!

If you win. I believe that you will stay up but may struggle, depends on if you keep your striking threat.
If we win we would probably struggle also but would need to spend on both transfer fees and wages in the summer to have a squad in order to stay up.  In some ways it might be a blessing in disguise if we didn't win next week!
I believe that whichever of us loses next week will eventually go up automatically next season.
Whatever happens it wouldn't be good for the loser to replace the winner at the end of next season, which again is always a possibility!  Roll Eyes

Irrespective of the outcome, I hope that the game is played and supported in the right spirit, the fans from both teams turn out in numbers, behave themselves, are able to enjoy the occasion together and have a safe journey to and from a venue that wasn't chosen with the whole country's fans in mind.   Roll Eyes

Why are we "rank underdogs" when we finished higher in the league?

They were tied up with the cup run and a cup final for months obviously that set them back and after getting hammered at Wembley fair play to them for getting their league campaign back on track so well.

Not too sure if cash converters is doing a good trade.  I expect a lot of City fans are waiting for their Giro! Watch the sales go thru the roof once the weekly allowance is paid ! I hope we can get 65000, regardless of which side has the most.  Lets be honest, we average about 16000 between us. Therefore everyone at Wembley over this figure are occasional fans. Most of our occasional fans have had their day out this season, so it's obviously going to effect our attendance. But anything approaching 60k plus will produce a great day out for us all. Lets hope for good weather, a safe journey for all and a great day come what may.

Haigys, now that's a decent football pub. Loved the hole cut into the wall to make a §erving hatch to those outside. Drinking Tetleys there, but not as we know it!
I don't want it to be to busy on the day, 20k each would make for a good day without the mad crowds.
