I am thinking of going to see T20 cricket at County ground... 8th June v Leicestershire Foxes or 11th June v Worcestershire Royals... I know the prices are £13. I just wondered if anyone knows if you can take your own beer to save money?

13. Persons may not bring  alcoholic beverages into the ground for Twenty/20 matches

14. The Club will refuse admission to any person attempting to carry or transport into the Ground an excessive amount of intoxicating liquor. Excessive for the purposes of this regulation are Four (4) cans of normal strength Beer, Lager, or Cider or one bottle of wine.  Amounts in excess of this quantity will be seized and a receipt issued.

I actually dont understand that so if anyone wants to make it clear, it looks as if you can't, but then say you can bring 4?

Thanks for that. They do seem to contradict themselves though. I suppose if you take 4 cans and they say 'you cant bring alcoholic beverages into the ground' then you can just quote the above?

No booze for 2020, yes booze for other matches. It's to stop people getting twatted as the 2020 crowd are less civilised than normal cricket fans

Good result today for County, albeit against the Dutch.

I did see they had a good result against Derbyshire to be fair. Nice to get off the mark anyway!

Winning was bad. 5 defeats out of 5 would at least have shown our consistency!

I know that it wasn't T20 but didn't the County have a good win yesterday?

2 wins on the trot now. I obviously didn't see the game today, but our total was very average again. Even against Worcestershire after the makeshift opener Vaas had smacked his way to 50, the middle-order was garbage. Still a lot of improvment to be made, but at least we are sort of back in the hunt of the 1/4s with 2 wins from 5.
