Probably, but I remember Nicholls always playing better with Bayo than with Platt. Same with O'Donovan - always looks twice the player when Bayo is on the pitch.

It was the right time for both parties. I just hope the 11 year old kids who worship him see it the same way.

I find your post to be in bad taste. He's one of the most successful strikers this club has ever had and implying that it was only kids that rated him is wide of the mark.
We can only hope that we get someone who scores as many goals as he did.

It has to be "B" Another big smile on my face. I always get the big decisions right.
Couldn't be happier, you can all blame me if it turns pear shaped. Up next year without a doubt and no need of the play-offs.

Must say disappointed as a very good player whilst here (both spells) and one of the best target men in L2.
Moving on hopefully he can be replaced by someone with both strength and pace to partner Roy or Alex next season

Yep, definitely.
Since January, he has been very average. His inclusion in the play off final for me wasn't a huge surprise, lets face it most people on here were suggesting he should be starting instead of Bayo several weeks ago.
His whole brand BMO stuff has been getting very annoying recently, its as if he has been playing his career out in recent times.
That said; love the bloke, my cats called Bayo and he is without question one of my top 3 all time Cobblers favourites. I truly hope he does well and makes a success of whatever he is planning to do next, but it wouldn't totally surprise me if it isn't as a football player. If it is then I reckon theres a good chance his new club will regret it, especially if his deal is a lucrative one!
All good things come to an end. The King is dead, long live the King.

says the man who spent the entire transfer window in january trying to manufacture a move elsewhere, and which essentially turned his form round for the worse for the last 4 months. when he was good, he was unplayable............but its time to go.

It has been clear for months that AB doesn't really want him here. It's also clear that he genuinely enjoyed his time at the club and probably knows that he won't be regarded as highly by any other set of fans. A case of clashing egos and power plays with who knows what going on behind closed doors. A sad way to end his excellent overall cobblers record.

For all the negative comments on here, lets not forget Bayo has without doubt been the best striker at ntfc in the past few years and for that he has my thanks and best wishes for the future.

Sad to see Bayo go. Will never forget his goals at Bolton when we knocked them out of the League Cup or his countless crucial goals since. Don't agree with this average tag in the last few months, he set both goals up in the playoff semis to an extent. In all honesty he was probably to big for the club and will know doubt go to a club where they know how to make the most of his Beastmode brand rather than look down their noses at it.
Time for him to move on but I for one won't forget his impact on the club. A legend for sure.

Would have loved Bayo to go out with a bang, scoring a last minute winner in the playoff final, cementing his place as an NTFC legend. Not to be, but he will always be loved by the majority of fans and certainly be a cult figure for many years to come.
I will miss him, one of the most entertaining players I can remember, on and off the pitch but unfortunately he seems more interested with his off the pitch exploits.

Because he was 'off pitch' rather a lot lately?

Bayo has been great for NTFC and I will be really sorry to see him go. But let's not forget that whilst Bayo is a team player, he is very much about his own self-promotion. Yes, I would would have loved to see him from the start on Saturday - but it wasn't the strike force that was the problem for the first half hour.
AB has no doubt had a major job on his hands to manage Bayo. Let's not forget that Bayo was on Soccer AM a week before the final - promoting...Bayo! Was that with AB's full blessing? I doubt it. Everyone else was at Sixfields playing a behind closed doors match - in preparation for the final.
Did that and recent form influence the team selection? Who'd be a football manager...?
