On too much money to purely be an impact sub. Time for the big man's Cobblers career to come to and end, shame its finished with a humiliation at Wembley. Just doesn't look interested anymore imo

Finally someone who can see through the facade, AB did make a mistake with Bayo and that was to not be decisive enough in January either sign him up or get rid Ive said before ABs "bag of sweets" interview was just insulting and we was left in football perjury. Subsequently we got the worst of both worlds with Bayo whoring himself to all and sundrie and AB with no real authority over him and as his contract has now expired he is not worth anything. Nothing that couldn't have been sorted out with a straight talking conversation , IMO that failure had a massive bearing on the season. Nice guy and thanks for the good times and if we ever need a Lion lifting up or indeed a musician then we've got his number.

It was an insult not to start him and to finally bring him on as part of a totally defeated team. I doubt even Messi could have done much by then. He was a definite improvement on Platt and that's perhaps the best that can be said, as the game had been over for half an hour before he came on.

"Yesterday hurt on so many different levels" via Twitter.
Not starting...losing....ending his Cobblers career on such a low point.
Love him or loathe him, I think this is one situation that Aidy has miss managed, either that or he has been unable to manage. His Cobblers record will stand up for years to come, so thanks for the service.

Will miss him massively, if he leaves it's time for a change of tactics, because platt doesn't offer no where near as much as bayo does.

Watched the game again today, Platt had a decent game while he was on considering the service or lack of it he received. The calls for Bayo yesterday were embarrassing.

It was clear to me that he wasn't fit before the game had even started, and all he did was affirm that view. Given how strange some of his selections can be, I'm surprised we didn't start with Moyo (at least he was fit).

Well I was there, and Platt didn't look at all fit to me. Mind you, Bayo huffs & puffs, looks too overweight/musclebound and has totally lost the scoring touch. It's got be time for some completely new blood up front.

Time for Bayo and us to move on. He's been a great player during his two spells here, but seems too preoccupied with "Beast Mode On" which, ironically, has been off since he launched it.

Absolutely spot on. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Bayo has never achieved a promotion in his career to date. An odd stat given his goal record.

He has been a decent player for the cobblers over the years and I wish him well. Fact is in the last third of the season he has been worse than at any time during his spells in claret and white. It was a shame to see him bumbling aimlessly about the wembley pitch in his final appearance as he deserved a better send off. As for Clive platt the fact that aidy signed him as bayos replacement is worrying. Link up man yes but striker needed to get you promoted no. The fact that in his wembley pen picture he was referred to as the tree speaks volumes!! He certainly seemed rooted at wembley and I hope he now leaves and branches out elsewhere

Platt won't be going anywhere. You think someone is going to come knocking for a 35 year old striker who doesn't often score?
As for Bayo, I'm not ready to sign his Cobblers retirement card just yet. His finishing against Cheltenham could have been better, but other than that he had a decent game and he seems to bring the best out of O'Donovan, who I am certain will be offered a contract.
People say AB doesn't like Bayo and that may be true or false, but whatever, he needs to look at the facts. The facts are that he has been our top scorer for the past 2 years. OK, he's been through a lean patch of late, but that happens to every striker from time to time. Ask Fernando Torres and he'll confirm that sometimes you can't buy a goal for love nor money. You don't chuck your top scorer down the khazi unless you have something special lined up. I suspect he will be off, but I hope he stays.

It has to be "B" Another big smile on my face. I always get the big decisions right.
Couldn't be happier, you can all blame me if it turns pear shaped. Up next year without a doubt and no need of the play-offs.

I wish some people would get over this Bayo s***E. Support the name on the front of the shirt instead of the one on the back.
