Pitch at York is hardly likely to be bone hard. Clubs water the pitch everyday this time of the year. Roll Eyes

You've obviously never played any football at a decent level then Roll Eyes

Really Jollies you fell into that one - in any case York is normally flooded in August!

Does Alfred?  Roll Eyes

As it stands, Langmead, hackett, Roy O' and Platt are all unlikely to start the season. Whilst positions can be covered across the squad, the fact remains we are woefully short in the striking department. True?

not woefully - disastrously short , don't keep selling yourself short Roll Eyes

He can. When you consider that he has played wide almost as often as up front, and then look at his goals/games ratio, I would think Mcsheffrey could bag a hat full at this level. If only, eh?

Left footed striker/left winger used to playing much higher up the divisions. 30 years of age ... could be the second coming of Martin Smith

He would be a coup for this league definitely, I'll believe it when I see it, but would be happy for sure.

I'd be shocked and stunned if helguson came down to league 2. Still championship quality IMO. I no a lot of qpr fans that want him back. That being said he would be unbelieveable here, whilst a short guy, has one of the best leaps I've seen, heading machine!

Read a few tweets last night that Danny Murphy was spotted in a Northampton Hotel, however he was on Talk Sport yesterday so could be moving around the country doing various press interviews?
