McNamara has been on trial with Wimbledon. Emerton has just had a trial at Carlisle. It appears cadogan is still under contract at aldershot. Are you allowed to play in a trial match if your still contracted to another club?

He probably weemed his way out of it when they got relegated and went into admin...like the look of him though, wouldn't mind another fast winger

Remember Cadogan looking useful previously.

I've asked my Shots mate about Cadogan. He said he is ok, not the quickest but his crossing is decent. He'd be good to have in the squad.

Well Emerson is rapid. If moyo showed a big more bravery/strength he could of had at least 2. Balls over the top mean he keeps getting in. Great goal line clearance from Reeve. 2 centre backs literally winning everything in the air. Shame the cm can't keep the ball. Kevin the right back is solid

Who is playing at the back?
Amankwaah, Purse, Artell and Reeve apparantly.

3-1 win in the end. First silver ware of the season.
Hooper, Toney and Cadogan with the goals. Encouraging win from mostly youngsters.

No, the fu cker's just been arrested as he came off the pitch.

"Andrew Ellis was very much against what was going on. The Cardozas were strictly about business and development so that was him out the door. Andrew Ellis was only ever a football man."

I remember Cadogan coming through at Palace and being rated quite highly. Think he made a few first team appearances before being released. He did OK tonight. Emerton was very quick and agile and looked like he'd be a useful addition.
I would have kept Darren Purse myself although he didn't have a great game tonight.

Say what you will about our transfer activity (I've said plenty), but results/performances this pre-season have actually been fairly encouraging.
The Purse situation is a bit odd really. I can understand why you would allow someone to train with you, but why give the man valuable game time only to help him get fit to sign for someone else?

Unless Cadogan is being lined up as a replacement for one of them. Wasn't Hackett rumoured to be off to Oxford?

Rumoured by whom? Oxford have already stated their dealings are done. We had some farcical suggestion about Tubbs but on what basis? None of this appears on their boards so why are we so interested? They certainly could not afford Hackett.
