Midfield now seems sorted (and looking better than last season on paper ...)
Now for the allusive 40+ goal a season striker.

Great news and the signing Ive been most excited about so far. One thing we missed last season was someone to get stuck in in midfield and allow the other to go play. Looks like we have a much better balance in there this season.
Also hoping that he makes some meaty tackles and adds some bite to our midfield.

Like the one against Peterborough that started the mini scrap?

He is exactly what we missed last season as Harding and Hornby are not fully prepared to get fully stuck in, granted Gutts did but Deegan in my opinion is a better version then Gutts and will work his socks off.
Happy with this!

Very happy with this signing. Looks like a right battler, even in friendlies he was throwing Cogenhoe players to the ground to get to the ball.

A good signing. Whilst I still have some reservations about the defence and the strikeforce, It's hard to argue against the idea that our midfield looks stronger this year. There should be genuine competition for places and it will be interesting to see who starts against York.
I suspect AB might be tempted to play a midfield five:
Deegan Morris Carter Hornby Hackett/Cadogan

i would think his first choice 4 picks itself now in midfield.
if we play 5 in there at york its because he hasnt got a new/fit striker.

Another questionable signing, from what I have seen his attitude could disrupt the apple cart.
Unless of course he can play upfront....
Gone fishing..

Presumably, this means getting Huws back on loan wont happen, then. Interesting that Deegan has been the victim of an unprovoked attack on a night out, whilst Collins has been the perpetrator of such a crime. Let's hope they don't become drinking buddies....

well its a man's game when played by men. I liked the way he stood aloof from all the hand bags going on! Maybe in a L2 etc game he might have been sent off. Like him

Huws coming back was never on the cards .... Huws is the same "type" as Carter and Morris

Very very happy with this. Carter and Morris are in a similar mould so this is just the kind of signing we needed to give us not only a bit of competition for places, but also some balance, I know he wasn't rated at Cov but I know a few Hibs fans as my dad is a Hibee and they were all disappointed to see him let go.

I think it's a great signing and the midfield is actually looking pretty tidy. I think last season we struggled to get the ball down and control the pace of the game, Hackett's great but out on the wing with two struggling in the middle he gets lost. We do need to sort a strike still I believe but goals come across the team so at least the midfield is looking good.

Striker is the only absolute essential now. A right back would be ideal, and a three month loan to cover Langmeads injury would be sufficient too.
The starting 11 is coming together nicely now (albeit a tad later than what the fans would like).
