The only part of Aidy's managerial reign which deserves some agree of critical analysis is the poor away form, which is something he's yet to get fully sorted.

Otherwise, taking us from relegation certainties to Wembley via a close brush with automatic promotion in his first full season, with a top drawer home record is good enough for me.

Agreed

What annoys me about the striker front is that last week Aidy clearly stated he was going to press on with his first choice striker target. Obviously the player turned us down, and now I'm having to read interviews with the manager and various players saying how Platt is the missing link in the team.

Sincerely hope we don't sign Dickinson. His twitter is a disgrace quite frankly.

NO. I WANT PROMOTION....A-AND AND A 30-GOAL A SEASON STIRKER...........AND A NEW STAND.......AND WHY AREN'T WE ALREADY IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE???

Not good enough. Cardoza - out. Boothroyd - out. Kevan Broadhurst - IN.

In all my 60 years of supporting the Cobblers , I have never felt so negative & ****ed off towards the prospect of a brand new season.

I have been unable to attend any matches so far this season due to illness & was avidly looking forward to my first / Saturday's match .......but all these broken promises on top of the Wembley Fiasco has left me questioning if it is all worth the 200 mile trip when I'm not 100% fit .... to watch a team that has no ambition what-so-ever & surely an inability to play interesting/ entertaining football , let alone score goals .

Come on ADB prove me wrong.Don't be so negative, especially away from home.
Is it the Budget or the Manager Huh?

I hope to be proved wrong. UTC.

If a Wembley season wasn't up to your standard last year, you must have been suicidal through most of those 60 years.

Yes indeed, if your Facebook and twitter is not up to scratch, how can you be expected to score goals in this division

I'm still firmly in the pro Boothroyd and DC camp. However that doesn't mean that they are both beyond criticism.

I think some of the reactions on here are over the top, but I think that's true about both sides of the arguement.

Truth is, that up to the beginning of the week ADB seemed keen to sign a striker and was telling the press that that was the case, in the space of a few days it seems that we are now happy with what we've got.

I personally don't believe this has anything to do with DC cutting the budget, if it was I doubt ADB would have been making the noises about signing a striker in the first place. Rather ADB's target not being available or rejecting us.

What is starting to grate with me, is how Aidy is seemingly starting to treat the fans with a sense of self arrogance. Pride comes before a fall and all that.

The signing of Blyth just re-emphasises this point for me. First we need a striker, then we don't, now we do.

Have some respect for the fans please Mr Bootroyd.

I think Boothroyd is more concerned with managing the football team and winning football matches than what the neurotic element of our support think.

A striker - a real, live, actual striker to partner RO'D is clutching a Cobblers shirt even if he is only proven at "non-league level and in Leicester's Development Squad" and Ivan Toney is probably much better.

But that a mere detail. Tonight we will be dancing with neurotic joy and hope all the way up Gold Street and around the Church

Were we the only side to score more than 2 goals in L2 today?

Thanks for the concern but I'm old enough to know that there are only two types of prediction: lucky and wrong. Wink
