maybe not - but I haven't spoken yet so it is a little irrelevant. I'm betting that every time you do speak you end up with dribble on your chin

I am waiting for your next gaff - I reckon it wont be long Based on what you've just said then, I'm assuming you are really quite a tiny boy? I had heard that rumor from someone who stood next to you at the urinal, but I didn't wish to be impolite.

I see a tackle that was worse, more dangerous and just as deliberate about five minute before that involving the same players. However a chinese man once said "two wrongs dont make a right, but one idiot does see red".
In case anyone's still in doubt about the Ish challenge, highlights are now on the YouTube channel. It's even worse than it seemed at the time, and so stupid and petulant it's really quite funny. Also telling that he gets very little support or sympathy from his own team mates.

As you quoted me I'd just like to make it clear that the decision in isolation is correct sending off, the ref is there to make decisions and if he sees that as serious foul play then he is correct and there is no evidence for anyone to think any different. However I have seen people saying it was dangerous and a leg breaker, it was neither of those and certainly not an over the top tackle such as that I mentioned earlier. That tackle got a yellow and was just as deliberate and premeditated and arguably more dangerous. The only thing I would query is the consistency of the ref. I would not argue with the Red but what I would say is players have and will get away with worst.

It's not the severity of the challenge, but the stupidity that should have Demontagnac shipped out a.s.a.p., on loan if needs be. If you are going to nail another player in retaliation, don't do it 5 yards from the ref's nose and don't do it in such a blatant way. All he had to do was await a 50/50 challenge as the likes of Souness and Keane were so adept at (and I notice van Persie is pretty handy in that department too). At York Carter got away with an almost identical retaliation as Demontagnac, which the ref I thought was going to come back for and give him a yellow, but Carter missed his opponent completely and play continued until Carter scissor tackled someone from behind made his second yellow a formality. Hackett's first booking at Southend was not a yellow, but once on a yellow our players have got to start using their common sense; problem now is our cards will be well and truly marked by every ref we come up against.

I have some sympathy with your opening sentence but I do find it very hard to castigate one of our own No doubt it was a red and under the circumstances deserved too. I can only admire the moral stance some on here have taken on this issue ; admittedly they are right to do so. I thought that Dyche's tackle at Sixfields was far worse and yet never produced the same levels of outrage as Demon's tackle did. Times have changed.

Apologies - was quoting you really as a way of picking up the topic rather than to disagree with what you say.

On the whole Sixfields is full of tolerant football fans who turn up week in and week out. Many do not vocally back the team but they do so by turning up and paying their hard earned to get in!
Spot on Luton !

But I think the venom directed towards Demon is more to do with his stupidity. If you are going to go looking for retribution, then don't do it minutes after you have been clattered, and then right in front of the officials. There have been many, many worse tackles by Cobblers players. Unfortunately, Ish is a loose cannon who fails to learn his lesson, which presents us with a liability we can do without given our current run of form.

Dyche was trying his heart out for the cause in that game and made an error with his tackle. It happens.
O'Donovan and Ishmael did ridiculous, petulant things. No sympathy.

To be honest I give Ish credit. He's done great to get this far into his Cobblers before finally being sent off. In fairness he as done his best to avoid it by generally playing as sh1t as he could so he didn't get picked.
