Agreed, he would be a good option to have on the bench.
Based on last season I'd have him in the first XI.

I know exactly what has been going on and, take my word, it doesn't reflect at all well on the club and ADB in particular.

Quite right Easty - Insider must be a member of some clandestine organisation who feed on speculation or worse.

Please let's have him back soon. Really missing his composure and technical ability.

Come on then, what is it? Did aidy nick his power rangers lunchbox at training?

Frederick Ingram "Fanny" Walden (1 March 1888 – 3 May 1949) was an English professional footballer who played on the right-wing for Northampton Town, Tottenham Hotspur and at international level for England during the 1910s and 1920s.

Please don't lets get too carried away by Hornby , he's a young lad with an undeveloped talent and nowhere near the finished article. He is not the saviour of Northampton town and any composure or technical ability he may have is a long way off. Langmead or Nicholls returning wont save us either , the rot goes a lot deeper than the return of one or two players.

Seems to be more than meets the eye here, there is lots of rumour and inuendo. Whats the story with Hornby, drink, drugs, bad physio treatment, bad training methods.............or is everything above board and he is simply injured?

Its a good job we have him because since he came on board we have had a constant que of players who have been unfit to play, I cant remember the last time it was said the first team squad had a full bill of health or even only one or two out.

I will try to quell the rumors. I have had a little update on situation from a good source, well think that its good source. Definitely a back injury from an impact fall last season which has not healed and gives him discomfort. It is difficult to diagnose, so he had an injection to try and loosen which never cleared it up. The club are being very supportive and nobody wants to make it worse, nothing to do with physio/ treatment. Now he is waiting for next assessment although he is doing light training everyday. Ludicrous to even mention the lads attitude and lifestyle for anyone who has met him or knows anything about him and his family. He is a well grounded young man and does not drink or anything which would jeopardise his football career. In fact I am told he's trying to be upbeat and keeps his head down and gets on with things and only focuses on football. All in all above board and waiting
