So this was a load of boll0cks then?
I wouldn't say so. the bloke thinks we wont see him play for us again. he could be right, he could be wrong but he's entitled to his opinion and that opinion is hardly boll ocks.

Well thank you. I do hope I'm wrong about this, but I just don't sense much enthusiasm to bring him back. I wonder how many of his teammates from his last game (Wembley?) are still at the club. I'd guess two.

Radio Northampton saying Lewis and Zander could be back in the squad at Shrewsbury.
Hopefully Lewis can get a few games in this season and then with a full pre-season will be a massive additiion to the team next season (playing infront of the completed East Stand)!!!

Such a shame things didn't work out. Not going to be offered a new contract.
All the best for the future Lewis.

Yeah, a real shame. Hopefully he can continue a professional career somewhere.

The writing was on the wall some time ago. Sad, but hardly a surprise.

Sad that he is going to be released but it would seem ultimately to be the right decision. I agree with Wilder that we need players that have a solid history of playing the majority of games and Hornby has had different issues, not just the back.
Shame though as thought he would really kick on after that season with Aidy.

If he wasn't a local lad brought through would we be that bothered he's been released? It is a shame as he played a strong part in the playoff season. Ultimately if he's not able to play or then break into the team then it's a wage wasted. I hope he gets fixed up and goes on to have a good footballing career. I'm not sure how big the queue would be on the back of such along layoff though.

I think someone should just take this city of Peterborough and just... just flush it down the f***in' toilet

Another one of our own, could pass a ball to team mates long or short and was growing into a physical player.........but I presume it was his injuries that finished a career before it started.
Lewis enjoy playing football whatever level that is.

You would have thought he'd be ideal for the development squad?

Hardly as a surprise he was going to get released. I trust Wilder's judgement here - maybe the reason he never got the loan move was he never was fit. It is such a shame that someone with such promise could end up on the scrapheap. I do struggle though to see how someone can be out so long.

People tried, even going to see specialists in London and Spain.
Good luck to Lewis in the future.

Not sure we ever saw enough of him to decide whether he was an asset or not. All we can do now though is wish him well.

Excuse my ignorance, but has he actually played for us this season? I know he has been on the bench. If not, that means his last match will have been at Wembley. I hope he fares better than another of our former players whose last professional match was there.
Good luck Lewis, I hope you get back into the game and work your way back up.

Good luck to him. Was he mis-managed by this club? I would expect to see him make something of himself...bloody good midfield player!

Was on the bench for Sheffield Wednesday yesterday
Could be good news for the lad (though maybe not for us, so much).

Are we still having one of these?
