Did you not smack him on the head 'Benny Hill' style and remind him that you were one of many who used to pay his wages?

According to my source Guttridge had form as a maverick type of player - at times outspoken and had a record of "falling out" with most managers he served under. As we all know he is injury prone - this was one of the reasons why he missed the latter part of the season; the other reason may have been " a fall out scenario".

Both couldn't be further from the truth, there was no falling out and he was fit for the vast majority of the 2nd part of the season. Boothroyd just preffered Horny in most of the games.

Was pleased to read the reasons for Gutts leaving in the paper today and that he leave's on good terms. Not at all the scenario that many would like to believe.

Whatever people may think Harding and Guttridge were major factors in saving the club from the drop when they joined 18 months ago.
I was also pleased to read Luke talk well of the club and manager. It was also good to hear his reasons to move on I wish him luck at where ever he ends up.

I'm assuming he still lives in Northampton , so without uprooting his family , his choices are limited. The only League 2 / Conference clubs within an hour are Oxford ,Burton (at a push), Luton and Cambridge. I would think Luton have offered him enough to make it worth his while.
Will be a very good player for them

We get Morris, they get Harding. I wonder who's going to end up with the better end of that deal.

When reading the torquay fans thoughts on Morris when we signed him I remember thinking he sounded exactly like another Harding, would imagine neither set of fans might notice much difference.
